Techni Mobili Super Storage Computer Desk in Chocolate Finish

I searched diligently for a nice desk under $200 locally and online. I was getting frustrated because there seem not to be a lot of choices , and some where just not that attractive. This desk caught my eye on another website but I waited a day to buy it because a lot of reviewers were complaining on how difficult the assembly was with the desk. It seemed like most people thought it was a very nice desk so I went ahead and ordered it. I received it rather quickly and shipping was free which was a plus.

I am going to agree and say the assemble requires patience; however, it is not as difficult as some mentioned. It has a lot of small parts, mostly screws. I think the reason for this is that this is a very well designed desk. I am in the middle of the pack as far as being handy, and I was able to handle it without much trouble. It did take me about 7 hours to put it together but I paced my self to make sure I did not mess up. Some people might cry at that amount of time but the end result is well worth it .Now on to the desk itself...The wood on it feels like real wood , not like the cheap stuff you get at Walmart. It feels very sturdy not wobbly like some other furniture you sometimes buys. The designed is great in that you have a cabinet for your pc tower to hide it and you have filing cabinet and 2 drawers. I like the fact that you have some counter space between the your cabinets and top part of desk. It works great for little stuff like Ipods, etc. The desk is heavy so here is a tip... BUY MOVING MEN SLIDERS AND PUT ON THE LEGS TO MAKE IT EASY TO MOVE IT. I bought some at Target that stay on and they blend in very nice with the desk.

So in conclusion , yes I wish the desk assembly was less time consuming but the end result will make you forget about it. You can either buy an easy to assemble desk that you might find from Walmart and then you are not sure if you like it, or you can suffer a little bit putting it together and be in love with your new work station . I would buy this again. Hope it helps someone :)

should i buy Prepac Sonoma Maple Hutch reviews

With its unique design, the Wall Hutch can be mounted above the Computer Desk to store books, papers, and computer disks, or on its own as a floating bookcase or a home for collectibles and accessories. It has four adjustable shelves and fits binders perfectly. Installation is easy using our two-piece hanging rail system. Shown here with the Computer Desk (sold separately). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the quality. But then again, for the price, you can't expect real wood. This desk and hutch is perfect for a kid's room, especially the hutch. Although not real wood it is solid and easy to assemble. I have recommended it to others who bought it and loved it as well. Highly recomment for a child's room since it looks great, it's functional, and not expensive. If damaged it is not expensive and it won't hurt your wallet. DEFINETELY get the hutch. It is worth every penny and more. This is a small home office piece of furniture. It is relatively small so it can fit into tight places, perfect for smaller homes. This is a cleverly designed unit because they included a type of bookcase that you can attach on the wall above the desk-- a perfect space saver. One reviewer said, "The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the quality." the quality issues are not just because it's not solid wood but because of the overall workmanship. The hutch comes with 23 pre-drilled holes and they supply screws intended to fit, but the screws only tighten down all the way on 11 of the holes!! the holes and screws supplied for "two-piece hanging rail system" are not deep enough and, the holes are a tad too wide so they don't tighten all the way and leave one with an uneasy feeling about the hutch's stability on the wall. This product is well below the quality of a similar Sauder product.
The hutch should NOT be thought of as a serious bookshelf; it's way too small. I'm using mine to hold 31 books, and a few nic-nacs.
On the positive side, I received the product within a short period of time and it was extremely well packaged, and, the hutch is quite attractive. This is the second one i have purchased - the first was a black on for underneath my wall mounted flat screen [which looks awesome!], and the second is this maple one that i bought to mount over my nursery combo dresser - using this saved me at least [...] on purchasing the matching hutch for the dresser [ridiculous if you ask me to pay that much for glorified shelves]. The picture doesn't do the color justice - it is a bit richer maple, whereas the picture is more "natural" looking. This worked out PERFECTLY for me because i was expecting a slightly lighter hutch and it ended up matching my furniture exactly!! Shipping great as usual, A+++ I bought a desk and matching hutch, and BOTH were missing needed parts for assembly. When I make the mistake of buying a cheap product that I need to assemble myself, a very basic demand is to have all of the parts needed for assembly. I didn't, and I have better things to do with my life than spend hours of it on the phone, trying to explain which cheap pieces of junk I need somebody to send to me. This otherwise usable piece of pressed-board furniture has now been assembled with screws from my garage. We bought this shelf to have more storage room in our nursery. It's very sturdy and easy to put together. You mount a board on the wall, and then the shelf slides onto the board, so it's not coming off the wall easily. The wood veneer is ok, obviously it's not real wood, but it looks fine for what it is. Our computer desks were way too cluttered, so I decided that we need some place to put stuff that was easy to get to. The hutches were the perfect solution. They are sturdy enough for my husbands books and the shelves can be moved around to create lots of cubbies for my stuff. They weren't too hard to put together, we did the first one together in about 1/2 an hour. My husband did the second one alone is less than that. The instructions could be better, but the design is great. We have had these shelves up for over a month now and we love them. The cats think they are great perches too. On the positive side, I received the product within a short period of time and it was extremely well packaged, and, the hutch is quite attractive. This is NOT a hutch. It is a bookcase to hang on a wall. A hutch is something that sits on or attaches to a desk or table or china cabinet. Be careful in ordering because you might order the wrong thing. I ordered a Prepac computer hutch by mistake because I thought it was a desk. The picture was deceptive. Now I have to return it and pay for the shipping. Bad advertising. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the quality. But then again, for the price, you can't expect real wood. should i buy Prepac Sonoma Computer Desk reviews

Organize a work area in style with the Sonoma computer desk. A great addition to any study, office, or den, the desk includes a roll-out keyboard tray, a deep bottom shelf designed to hold a computer CPU, as well as an adjustable shelf for books and office supplies. Constructed from a combination of high quality, laminated composite woods, this attractive series offers extremely good value for stylish yet budget-conscious buyers. The desk measures 48 inches wide by 29 inches high by 23-1/2 inches deep and requires some easy assembly on arrival. The matching wall hutch shown here is available separately. A great addition to your study, office or den, the Sonoma Computer Desk includes a roll-out keyboard tray, a deep bottom shelf designed to hold a computer CPU, as well as an adjustable shelf for books and office supplies. Constructed from a combination of high quality, laminated composite woods, this attractive series offers extremely good value for stylish yet budget conscious buyers. Shown here with the Wall Hutch (sold separately).I had a carpenter put this together, and was glad I did. It came with two left panels, and no right panel. If I was building it myself I would have had to pack it up and wait until the replacement part arrived- instead he was able to adapt the left piece for me, and since the right side faces the wall you can't tell it's there. Also, as noted by someone else the keyboard tray is way too low, so I removed it. Still, for the money it's a nice desk
This desk was a bit disappointing for me because after putting it together (definitely a 2 person job) the keyboard tray was really low to the ground. I had to put the feet of the desk up on thick pieces of cardboard so the keyboard tray wouldn't be hitting my knees (and I'm a short guy!). Admittedly I should have paid attention to the dimensions better, but I just couldn't understand why computer desk would be so short (it's quite uncomfortable for my wrists and back to be typing on something that low.)

Other than that, it's an attractive desk and wasn't too difficult to assemble. It was pretty sturdy before I had to prop it up on cardboard as well. I'd recommend it for children or for extremely short adults. I am a happy camper. I bought this because I needed more work space for when I work at home but I couldn't go to big. This is absolutely the perfect size. The top is smooth and the whole thing has nicely rounded edges, nothing to get caught on. My last desk was horrible I was always catching the edges. Love the over sized shelf for the computer,if you desire to put it there. It leave plenty of room to the back and the back is open for lots of air flow. I don't like how low the keyboard draw is so I have the keyboard on top. I don't take anything off for that its just my preference. The directions leave something to be desired so be prepared to do a little figuring out on your own but assembly is not hard at all. You might need a second set of hands to help hold things in place while you assemble. All in all a good buy. the 4ft of desk space is perfect for holding my 18inch laptop and all my college books and i still had room to girlie it up a bit! the shelves give u more room to hold books to, they are very deep and you can adjust the center shelf to any height. Putting it together wasn't that bad either. the instructions were a little confusing, nothing was labeled, and the top needed 2 people to push down on it to push it in place. it took about 20 minuets.

my only real complaint was that there was no back board for the shelves. i had planed to keep mine against the wall anyway but i would be more comfortable with a back board for it.

other than that it was a great buy! This is a great desk. I love it. However, I am only 5'3" tall. The keyboard tray on this desk is barely high enough for me to use. I have to sink my height-adjustable chair all the way down to make it work.

There is room to move the keyboard tray higher if you are comfortable drilling your own holes. Or, the top of the desk is pretty low, so most people would be comfortable just having the keyboard on top of the desk.Ordered a desk on January 17th was delivered January 27 with the box ripped open and crushed on the corner.
Ups took the desk back and said "I refused the delivery" and said nothing about the box being damaged.
Ups must have tapped the box up and shipped it back. After many many
E-Mails I received a refund but they charged me $91.81 for nothing. AAA said nothing was wrong with the desk and charged for deliery and stocking fee.
I was not going to receive a delivery when the box is damaged. The refund took almost two months. Amazon tried to help but too the side of AAA. I will never but anything from Amazon again. Better Business Bureau is next.
STAY AWAY FROM AAA FURNITURE DISCOUNTS!!

should i buy Home Office Computer Desk reviews

Design is OK but I prefer to have CPU storage in either side of the desk. And, lower shelf for book storage under the desk is so inconvenient because users may hurt their legs. Also, the edges are so sharp that coud cut someone.

quality is average. The item was very well packaged. The box was cocooned in a larger box with plenty of protection.

The desk itself looks nice. The photo of course makes it look a bit more upscale. Still, for the price it is fine. Assembly was easy. Oddly, I only had issues with the casters. I recieved the product packaged very well with no damage or missing parts which was a great plus for me. Then my husband put together the desk which took roughly almost an hour but the instructions were simple to follow. The desk measurements is exact as advertised 42" x 22" so it's not a very big desk. Also exactly as pictured. Great for small spaces. The pieces are quite heavy and firm which I would guess it's made of particle board and not real solid wood which would be quite expansive but it is quite attractive and is the right size for what I needed. All the pieces fit together nicely and moves very well on the coaster wheels which I love. As for the color, wish it came in cherry red but the dark walnut will suffice for now. It's a bit darker then pictured. No sharp edges or anything but you want to be cearful about banging up your knees or legs cuz it will hurt. Very functional, appreciate that it has a pull out draw for keyboard and mouse which slides easily. Highly recommend this desk. Perfect for computer and CPU. All in one unit and certainly does the trick.
Easy to put together, no problems whatsoever. One small ding on corner of desk top
which is covered by printer...hence, no problem. For the price it works beautifully.Desk came very well packaged. We like the fact that it is on wheels and can be moved around easily. It looks exactly the same as in the photo. It is simple, yet efficient. Design is OK but I prefer to have CPU storage in either side of the desk. And, lower shelf for book storage under the desk is so inconvenient because users may hurt their legs. Also, the edges are so sharp that coud cut someone.product is made of partical board or manufactured wood not solid wood picture does make product look better then what it is The item was very well packaged. The box was cocooned in a larger box with plenty of protection.

The desk itself looks nice. The photo of course makes it look a bit more upscale. Still, for the price it is fine. Assembly was easy. Oddly, I only had issues with the casters. Arrived in excellent condition, assembly was easy. Very sturdy. Works wonderfully for my computer station.

should i buy Techni Mobili Ergonomic MDF Computer reviews

Designed with decorative perforated metal panel and side MDF legs with steel tubes. Large work surface accommodates keyboard, printer and monitor. Desk area is made of PVC laminated MDF panels. Includes a mobile CPU caddy. Easy and ready to assemble. 5 Years Mfg. Warranty. It's not top quality stuff, but, it is functional. Note the surface areas are laminated with contact paper. A few cautions:

1. be careful not to leave the unit in direct sunlight; the contact paper laminate will blister.

2. the particle board components easily strip when attempting to screw the pieces together. You may want to avoid using a screw gun and opt for hand tightening.

3. the feet are prone to breaking free (they pivot). Be careful.

The customer service is pretty good since I needed a foot replaced; no problem there.

The unit is good for someone who lives in an apartment and plans to move a few times; the unit is light enough to lug around. Four stars for what you get at this $120 price point.
I spent months looking for a desk, and honestly I was not constrained by budget but by other things such as, I needed a small sturdy and easy to assemble desk that was not sharp, boxy, or difficult on carpeting... I bought a keyboard attachment and this desk, and am thoroughly happy with the purchase... they even included a screwdriver and spare parts... put it together in 10 minutes without hassle... very pleased. 5 stars, will post on facebook and recommend. Is a good workcenter. Solid, rigid, stable and durable. Is waterproof, great for me!!! ha ha ha. Looks pretty nice as my home office. I have the corner Techni Mobili on this same style. Thanks. OK, so the first thing you need to know about me is that I never write. I LIKE most of the services, products and 'Deals' that Amazon offers and am very grateful for its existence in our market place. Especially for my Middle-Aged-Just-Now Catching-Up-With-TECH WORLD 'Demographic' that I'm sure I belong to and I generally feel Amazon is great because its fun and easy to navigate around and is interactive enough that it allows me to feel good about myself, to comprehend how to learn and work my way around the site which is always a good thing for me - But I never write.

I utilize a lot of its features with something like pleasure and relaxation but I still feel like I still have a lot to learn about it's features...nevertheless this site is attractive to me because it is: A User Friendly Market Place, An Informative and, Accommodating Online Business that is very professional, courteous and polite to their clientele and incredibly diverse in their selections and services - But I never write.

That being said, this desk rocks!

It Looks Beautiful and actually improves the 'Ambiance' of my tiny little space of a New York Studio that I reside in.
It's very 'Classy' looking, but to be fair, it also Amazingly complements the actual modern looking desktop computer, Wireless Logitech Keyboard and Mouse that I have on top of it. That's another thing I appreciate and that is the ratio between what you were sold by comments and reviews and product description and illustration and what you actually received...Look, if you're a little ADD about stuff like this like I am then you're going to love this...maybe because I'm single or something, or maybe I'm re-discovering my manhood or my inner-carpenter guy or something I really don't know and I really don't care, I'm not that interested in my origins just the result and in this case the result was pleasure.

In this day and age of getting less and less of a product and seeing that that said product's quality and quantity wane over time and as more and more monies are needed to acquire that said product it's nice to come across a Company that puts out a product not only on it's inherent merits but also on their implicit guarantee that you will not only be able to handle the innate necessity of this product needing to be put together by the customer but that you will most likely enjoy doing it....

The told the truth.
Believe Me.
This Desk Is Awesome!

Alright, lets start with the time factor.
IT was fine. One week.
Upon first sight:Everything looked fine, all the contents were in excellent condition as was the box that the contents were in and it was a great relief and did immediately elicit a spontaneous smile from me upon seeing the box for the first time.
Ok, this next thing may sound a little ADD now, but just bear with me.

The second thing I am grateful for is the 'Simplicity' and 'User-Friendliness' of the 'Directions' the foresighted inclusion of all the 'Accessories' 'Tools', 'Illustrations' needed to put the thing together/that would have been enough for me to write something about the desk and probably give it 4 Stars easy, but where this outfit went above and beyond the call of duty is with this:

The design of this thing is, and I don't use terms like this lightly, BEAUTIFUL!!! Look, I'm middle-aged, not great at the whole putting stuff together thing. I can get confused easily and quite often due when I read directions on how to put stuff like this together either because of conflicting information and/or incomplete information and because I do
Have ADD, I do Have Bi-Polar they don't have me but, nevertheless, I fell through the cracks...so, believe me when I tell you that before I pressed the 'Confirm Order' button on this product I first:I spent months looking for a desk, and honestly I was not constrained by budget but by other things such as, I needed a small sturdy and easy to assemble desk that was not sharp, boxy, or difficult on carpeting... I bought a keyboard attachment and this desk, and am thoroughly happy with the purchase... they even included a screwdriver and spare parts... put it together in 10 minutes without hassle... very pleased. 5 stars, will post on facebook and recommend. Very easy to assemble, quality is above expectations for something of this price. Solid, great for kids. We use it just as a desk for our kids to do their homework on, but I am sure it could work as a computer workcenter as well. Highly recommended. I will say this is nicer than I expected for the price. Girlfriend and I assembled this in under 30 minutes... quick, easy, and all the tools you need are included. The box arrived all battered but all the goods were there and in fine form. I really like the computer tower cart, it makes connecting wires and cleaning way easier. Perfect for those looking for a small desk on the larger side.

No keyboard pull-out but I knew that and personally hate them.

should i buy Z-Line Claremont Desk reviews

This desk is even more attractive in person than it is online! The top is smoke colored glass (seems darker to me than the online picture shows) and all the metal pieces have a nice weight and finish to them. The desk arrived well-protected with no damage/defects and no missing parts. Assembly instructions are clear and concise with all parts clearly labeled. Once assembled, the desk seems solid.
This is a nice desk for under $200 compared with what is available at local retailers for a similar price. Highly recommend! I bought this desk for my home office and I must say that I love it. I considered a number of different desks. The first thing that I like about it is that the glass top screws securely to the desk frame. Other desks that I've looked at only have suctions cups to secure the glass top. The glass top is also a smokey color. Which is great. The only thing that I wish was different is that the wood legs were on the front and back. As in the picture, you can see the wood legs. But, when you turn and look at it from the back, you see the black metal legs. It isn't a huge deal, just aesthetic preference.

Assembly wasn't too bad. I put it together by myself in under an hour. The only complaint is that it is difficult to secure the keyboard tray to the frame tightly. Maybe it's just because I'm not mechanically inclined. But, I was able to get it secure enough for my use.

Overall, this was a great purchase and I would highly recommend it! This is a good desk. It was relatively easy to assemble, but some parts didn't line up perfectly. Nothing a little pushing didn't fix. The glass was sturdy with no chips. Instructions were very good with well-labeled parts.

The keyboard tray doesn't roll very easily, and it was stuck when I first got it. After the first couple of weeks of use, though, the rolling mechanism has smoothed out to an acceptable point.

It's very attractive with good quality parts. The two wood beams and wood back are real wood, not laminate.

All in all, everything works, looks good, and is of high quality. Other than that, it's a desk. What more do you expect of it?

P.S. Strangely, a card showing off Z-Line's sponsored 2008 Nascar season was inside. The desk was manufactured in August, 2009. That means that when the desk was made, the card was already over a year out of date. Why the hell did they put it in? You do get what you pay for! The production date for my desk was June 2012. Everything was packaged snugly and nothing was missing. Putting it together took me a good 2 hours. They even give you the tools such as Allen wrench and screwdrivers. Quality of wood is excellent. A very solid table. I love the dark glass desk. Gives off a svelte modern look. Generous work space too!I paired this desk with  Gorgeous! My first legit desk (been using dinner table as desk) and lamp. All the pictures you see online for this thing look a good deal better than it actually looks in person. It's hard to explain... It's just that, seeing it in the room and sitting behing it, it seems a little... well, cheap.

Also, it's also a little rickety. On mine, no matter how I tweaked the screws (I'm very mechanically inclined and I know what I'm doing), the whole frame was twisted a bit so that one leg lifts off the floor a little. So much so that the little adjustable foot which comes with isn't long enough to touch the floor, and I had to buy one that's longer to actually make up the distance. The keyboard tray is also a little flimsy and vibrates as I type (I type heavily, I will admit).

I'm actually comparing this to the Brenton Merido desk (which seems to go under the Z-Lines brand too?) that my wife purchased at a local big-box store. It was less money, looks very similar, and both feels sturdier and looks more refined/polished than this. It should be a consideration if you're looking at this (though it is smaller in width).

Speaking of the keyboard tray, make sure you don't need a lot of space. I use a stationary thumb-ball mouse and rather narrow keyboard and have no width issues (but I *do* have 1 issue... read below), but the tray is only about 25" or so, so you better measure before you buy.

Also, if you have any sort of special or special-needs keyboards that are taller than a typical key board, you will have problems. For example, I have a kensington split keyboard which sits about 3.5 inches high in the middle and is a little longer front-to-back than, say, a Microsoft Natural keyboard. This is a probelm for 2 reasons; there's a bar that sits over the keyboard tray, and the key board hits it. Also, the tray doesn't extend out far enough, so the front of the keyboard actually hangs over about half an inch.... and I can't push it in without fighting with the keyboard. If you, say, have one of those Kensington concave keyboards, I really don't think it will fit on the tray or go under the bar (though, I'm not 100% positive... measure!).

So, for the money, there is at least one other desk to consider. In the end, I'm not so disappointed that I will give it up. Just wish it were a little better. There are so many reviews on this desk that were very accurate in their statements. The pluses is it looks very up to date, is compact and it will fit my needs. The two issues that others were right about was the facts that the instructions were sorely lacking and the keyboard/mouse drawer is too small. I knew by the pictures on line I could put it together properly as long as all the parts were there and they were constructed properly, which they were. On the size of the keyboard/mouse drawer, that was a case of pure economics as the only other desk that had the proper size, looks and larger drawer was some $60-$80 more. So I decided that the larger drawer was not worth that much too me. But the instructions and the undersize drawer width was worth a one star reduction. Thank you Amazon for making the desk available and publishing reviews so we know what we are getting into before it reaches our front doors. Just my opinion.Assembly was easy and took me under an hour. The desk is solid - the main surface (which is darker than in the stock photo) has handled usual roughness just fine. The freight shipping package was a little beat-up, but everything was shiny and most everything was accounted for (was missing an extra nut).

The dust collects and collects. To dust I have to move everything off the desk, which is every couple of days. Otherwise it's like an itch, staring at me throughout the day - peppering the reflected sunlight and the birds flying outside. Then, if your hands are as oily as a typical person's, you leave smudges every time the side of your hand rests on the desk (which is much more often than you might expect).

Other then that, it's been a great experience. I keep the keyboard tray tucked away and use it as a makeshift drawer. I have had this desk for about 8 months, and I really like the look of it, but the one thing that absolutely drives me crazy is that the keyboard tray is way too small. It barely fits a standard sized keyboard and a mouse. I have to tuck the side of the mousepad underneath the keyboard just to make it fit. I give this desk a 5-star rating. Best computer desk I've ever owned. Plus, it gets compliments from the ladies on a regular basis. Bonus!

Pros:

- Packaged well. Glass is very protected and all pieces were covered and protected individually. No scratches or dents.

- Extremely easy to put together. All pieces are labeled with letters and numbers which are clearly written out and shown in the pictures. Each screw has it's own individually labeled bag, so you don't have to rummage through one bag trying to match with a picture. Allen wrenches and phillips/flathead screwdrivers included. Extra screws included in a red bag, just in case. Pieces lined up EXACTLY like they are supposed to, which is rare in the world of computer desks. Took a little under an hour from start to finish. Regardless, some people will have trouble putting ANYTHING together.

- Looks amazing and seriously classes-up my living room compared to my old, boring, Ikea computer desk.

- Solid construction, feels like a much more expensive desk

- Plenty of leg room underneath (even more if you choose to not connect the keyboard tray)

"Possible" Cons:

- Keyboard tray can't really be used with both keyboard AND mouse comfortably. I personally never use a keyboard tray anyway since I game a lot and it has just never felt right for that purpose. If you type a lot and don't play games, it's great. You can leave it off if you like as well. I personally use it for storing things that would otherwise clutter the top of my desk.

- Glass top shows everything. If you don't clean often, stick with wood. Also, I suggest using a keyboard with a wristpad if you want to avoid palm smudges, even with the keyboard tray since it's glossy and shows smudges easily. I am pleased to write that I am very content with the quality of this desk. The surface area is large enough to accommodate a large computer tower (Raven 2) and a 23" to 27" monitor with separate speakers. It's very attractive, well designed, and the instructions are well laid out. No flaws were noticed during the assembly. Highly recommended.

should i buy Modern Glass & Steel Frame Computer Desk reviews

Tempered frosted glass & steel frame computer desk features a large work area with an elevated printer shelf. Includes a perforated privacy panel and ergonomically designed legs that add to its unique style. A large work area is made of heavy duty tempered glass panels ,an MDF keyboard tray with safety stop shelf and mobile CPU caddy. Ready and easy to assemble. 5 Years Mfg. Warranty. If you like the picture of this glass top computer desk, you will be very happy with the purchase. I purchased and assembled two of them for my home office. The quality is excellent, and once assembled it is very sturdy-not like the cheap desks I saw at Staples. The glass top measures 47.5" by 23.75" and is 5/16" thick. You can choose to install the printer platform or not, however, I like the way it gets the printer up and out of the way. Both of my printers hang over the edge of the platform a little but are firmly in place. Assembly instructions are right on and assembly is very easy. Note these desks were made for flat screen monitors, my CRT takes up too much desk space. You will find this exact same desk for $[...] more at other websites. [...] Easy to put together and solid. My two issues with the design are the following:
- They keyboard tray is too small to fit my mouse-pad along with my keyboard like my old desk.
- The desk doesn't extend beyond the where the leg ends in the back, so I have more of a gap between the back of the desk and my wall than I would like (granted it's only a couple inches, mainly due to baseboard).

Both the stand for the printer and the stand for the computer are too small for my printer and case respectively. I expected this though, so it is not a big deal. The table is exacly what I expected and wanted. Sturdy steel legs and nice thick quality glass top. Fits perfectly where I wanted it. I couldn't be happier with what I got for the price! Easy assembly and instructions. All parts were there. Took about 45 minutes. Knowing how it is put together now I could probably do it in 30. Very happy with purchase. I must say the the desk looks very nice when assembled, but I found a few problems with my product that required me to leave negative feedback. I will first start with the minor problems: because of the way one of the legs was cut on the CPU holder, I am unable to completely screw in a necessary component therefore one leg sits up slightly higher than all of the rest (although I can live with that I should not have to). Also, the desk is extremely small, not enough workspace to do much of anything (should be marketed to children). The major problem I had with this particular desk, and I have never experienced this with ANY computer desk I previously owned, the board that is suppossed to hold the keyboard was not cut to exact specifications (length of board is too short and will not reach from one connector to the other) and as a result I am unable to attach it to the desk. Now I must place my keyboard on my desk (which already has very limited space) when I need to type. I paid too much money for this nonsense! This desk has a professional look and feel. Very easy to assemble. Unlike wooden desk, the glass frame reflects light and keeps the room bright. This was very important to me. I wish the keyboard tray could draw out a little more. Overall I am very happy I bought this desk. The desk has a very clean/modern look. I put it together in about 1.5 hours by myself. It would have been easier with two persons but wife was taking care of the baby. The instructions honestly couldn't have been written any easier. The small parts ie: different size screws and bolts where all in seperate bags and the size was clearlt marked on the bags and in the instructions. It even comes with a small wrench and screw driver. Every piece of the desk was clearly marked. There where a couple of large screws already in place on two of the support beams, so if you do an inventory of all your parts before you start to put it together and you think that you are missing some bolts check the parts that they are for because the bolts/screws are probably factory inserted into the part. The desk is very sturdy. I am using it for a 16 inch laptop and a printer enough space on the sides of my laptop for other items ie: external hard drive, camera, documents etc etc. One last thing I live in Miami and I got the free shipping which should take about a week or so but it arrived about 4 days after I placed the order. It was shipped out of the Miami/Ft.Lauderdale area. wow. i have put together a dozen or so items from amazom. bookshelves, entertainment centers, beds, you name it. this was by far the easiest assembly of the bunch. clearly marked and numbered parts and concise intructions. solid construction and it looks fantastic. Purchased this for our 14 yo son. He loves the modern look of it, the sleekness of the glass, and having the CPU off the floor. He doesn't have a printer on his desk, but he did opt to put the printer stand on it. He has a clock, pencil holder, and a paper weight on the printer stand. He's thrilled with the desk. It took less than an hour to put together, no parts were missing, and the instructions were good.
Packaging was better than most; secure and without dents or broken pieces. Assembly directions were easy to understand and follow and all the needed pieces were appropriately labeled. This desk is sturdy, the keyboard tray is steady when typing, and having an extra off the floor modem piece is helpful. Because of the glass top it appears to take up very little space in the room.

should i buy Modern Lack Coffee Table reviews

Color: Black-Brown Dimensions: Length: 35 3/8 " Width: 21 5/8 " Height: 17 3/4 " Product description Table top: Particleboard, Fiberboard, ABS plastic, Printed and embossed acrylic paint, Clear acrylic lacquer Filling material: Paper Shelf: Particleboard, Melamine foil, ABS plastic Leg: Fiberboard, Particleboard, Foil I love my Lack, and the Lack coffee table that I just bought is such a hit that my boyfriend is now going to buy one for his "man cave." Very easy to assemble, though a little more complex than a LACK side table, as there is some actual screw hole measuring involved. It is simple, but very functional and attractive.

Note to buyers though: this item is $20 in stores! That's where we bought our first and will buy our next. We are lucky to live near a location, but if you aren't able to get in, not a bad deal here! I have this table. Its only $20 bucks at IKEA. and it comes with dice thingy to tell you where the screws go. it easy to put together. but not worth $50-$60 in my book. It's a lightweight table that seems to be easily damaged during shipping, but otherwise I don't have any complaints. It was easy to put together. The table itself is nice, has a very nice black finish and looks good. It's sturdy and works great as a basic coffee table. Came with a chip on the bottom peice by one of where the screws goes. Other than that it is very sturdy and a perfect size. A bit pricy but it does it's job. I bought a new rug for our living room and didn't stop there. Furniture is something that you like to see in real life before buying, but this table is simple enough to see online. I saved a ton of money by not driving around to furniture stores to get this. I hope my wife lets me keep buying stuff on amazon. I got this from local Ikea for just $19.99. Very easy to assemble with included instruction. Very nice black finish and compliments my black side table and black TV Stand. Perfect size when used with loveseat and couch. I am loving it. The only caveat while buying online is the price. Its not worth at current quoted price. But at $19.99, its worth every penny. Product on its own deserves 5 star. NOT THE PRICE. I'm a big IKEA fan, and I was looking for a sturdy, low priced TV stand for my new Vizio TV. Sure, it's $50 bucks on here, but if you don't live close to an IKEA (and unfortunately, the closest IKEA to me is in Burbank) it's a great way to get what your'e looking for. It was shipped quickly, and fairly easy to put together. And if you don't think it's sturdy, my 42" Vizio TV which weighs close to 100 pounds is on it-and the LACK coffee table is doing just fine. So, if you can't get to an IKEA and are looking for a sturdy, well put together, quality product, this is a great option for you. Not only did the package arrive with a hole in the side, but the table itself was junk! It looked as though someone had already tried to put it together and put a hole through it! Cheap Junk! I use my LACK coffee table as a nightstand next to my bed - its a great size for my alarm clock, books, magazines, wallet, etc. It is very quick and easy to put together, probably one of IKEA's easiest next to the LACK side table.

The only downside I've noticed is that the top does show scratches a bit. Not a big issue, but if you're concerned about aesthetics and plan on giving the table a lot of use as a coffee table, then maybe this isn't for you. Its made of the typical particleboard and veneer, so any major nicks or damage would be tough to hide. Also, don't plan on dancing on top of the table or putting heavy weights on the lower shelf - it won't stand up to serious abuse. Maybe this is a unique problem, but I occasionally step on my coffee tables (using it as a mini stool/ladder or just while getting off the couch w/o having others to move their feet) and I'm fairly sure this table would break, though I haven't tried it. So in short, great as a nightstand or light use coffee table, not good for a heavily used coffee table.

Also, this exact same table is $20 at IKEA! Save your money and get it there if you can. Their website lists two other LACK coffee tables, a square one at $30 and a longer rectangular one for $40. Initially I thought that the Amazon listing must have been the more expensive one, but its not - its the smaller rectangular one listed for $20 on the IKEA website. It's a lightweight table that seems to be easily damaged during shipping, but otherwise I don't have any complaints. It was easy to put together. The table itself is nice, has a very nice black finish and looks good. It's sturdy and works great as a basic coffee table. This is a rip off. I purchased this EXACT coffee table at the White Marsh Ikea in Maryland for a mere $20. it is simple to put together, takes about 20 minutes for someone (like me) with zero knowledge of furniture assembly.
I have no complaints with this piece YET (again, I've only had it one day) but it seems really sturdy and looks very sleek in my apartment.
I would have rated it a 5, but only if the price matches the in store sale price, which is 1/3 of this

should i buy MULTIFUNCTION DESK reviews

MDF wood panels laminated with moisture resistant PVC veneer, and large work surface. Multiple storage spaces, 1 hanging file cabinet, pullout keyboard panel, side bookcase shelf and vertical media CD storage rack. Ready and easy to assemble. 5 Years Mfg. Warranty. all the parts clearly marked the packing is hard to beat. the boxes were well beaten in shipping , but packing was well up for the task. the desk is soild and not wobbly like most diy. I looked hard when I needed a desk and with only 1 review I know it was a long shot, but turn out good. if you are looking for a great desk you found it. Ordered this desk for my husband, who works from home, for Christmas. My brother-in-law put it together and did say it was a bit of a pain to follow the directions, but once it's together it's beautiful! I'm so glad I ordered it. My husband has pleanty of room for both of his monitors, speakers, phone, etc. None of the pieces were scratched or dented. It's one of the nicest pieces of furniture I've bought! Very nice looking desk but takes up a lot of space. The desk is 5ft wide. So,although it is nice I can't keep it due to lack of space. it was well labeled and easy to assemble. took me 3 to 4 hours though. desk is great and im glad i bought it. I bought this desk for my husband. It had ALOT of parts. It took the both of us about 3 hours to put together .. But we were very cautious and careful!!! It was NOT hard at all.. I have had this desk now for about 2 months and it is great!! BUT...we are very careful to use a drink coaster after reading the reviews.. Overall. For the price this is a GREAT desk. I would recommend it highly!! This desk is exactly how it was shown in the picture ... the color is a rich, chocolate brown. I wanted a desk that could hold my computer, printer, phone and had a hanging file folder drawer. This desk met all my requirements. I don't suppose it's "heirloom quality" but that's not what I was looking for! I just needed functionality. We set drinks on it. write directly on the desktop with pens and pencils (meaning no doubling up with extra paper underneath what we're writing)and can multitask while sitting in one spot. Highly recommend this to others looking for looks with functionality. I absolutely love this desk. As other reviewers have stated, it's not real wood, or particle board. It's synthetic wood. Which means it's stronger than particle board desk, water or moisture does not hurt this thing, and it's very easy to clean.

Assembly took around 4 hours, so be warned. Everything was well labeled. I was suprised to find that it came with a bag of Spare parts, which included 1 or 2 extra of each screw. It comes with a short handled screwdriver, but i highly recommend you have a cordless or corded drill for assembly. It makes things really easy.

The desk is pretty big. I have a full size tower, Cosmos S case, so i did not put my tower where it's supposed to go, i put my tower where the printer is supposed to go since i already had a separate stand for my printer. I did not install the keyboard drawer or the retention bar where your tower sits.

The only negative thing i have to say about this desk, is i cant figure out how the CD holder works. There is a plastic spine in the middle of the CD holder molds, and cd's will not fit inside of it. If anyone can enlighten me on how this works it would be much appreciated.

Overall great desk for the price i paid. ($114) At first one of the two packages came open completely i thought i was missing pieces one panel had peeled a little but for me where it was placed it was not a big deal for me it was easy to put together but it did take some time its study but you cant move it around to much because of how it assembles but i am going to get some glue and glue some areas where its needed but over all its beautiful i like the dark look it has the wideness of it and the function of its compartments for different things it makes a perfect mini office
First the bad: The material is a dense engineered material covered in a vinyl-like wrap that looks like wood. Looks good, but it is literally a plastic wrap on the "wood". Not laminate, literally a rubber/vinyl material to make it look like wood. Second issue, the directions are okay if you are used to building furniture that shows up in many flat boxes (aka a ton of pieces). Some holes were missing and had to be measured and drilled to adjoin the two main segments. Final criticism, the desk has a small opening for a chair. My son is 5'9" so we are removing the pull out keyboard tray, otherwise his office chair must be at its lowest elevation setting.

The good points: Hardware bags were well labeled and no missing parts. Went together in a few hours max and looks nice. Son is excited that it fits his printer, has a file drawer and can hold his DVD/CDs.

Overall, the desk has little actual space for a body and chair to fit. The wood is actually a vinyl/rubber covering that can be pulled away from the "wood". There are so many parts and so little solid components that this a desk that you don't want to move once assembled. If I were to try and move it over carpet, it would likely come apart simply because it is no a solid piece of furniture. t looks good, will get the job done and my son likes it. I personally am used to solid desks that last many years with dove-tailed drawers and good working space. This is not it. It's one of the nicest pieces of furniture I've bought!

should i buy FURINNO Compact Computer Desk reviews

Furinno compact computer desk for laptop and desktop is designed for space saving and modern stylish look. The materials comply with e1 grade particle board for furniture. There is no foul smell of chemicals, durable and it is the most stable particleboard used to make rta furniture. Care instructions: wipe clean with clean damped cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Please contact support@furinno for missing parts, damaged goods, or other questions. We are pleased to send you the replacement part free of charge. Pictures are for illustration purpose. All decor items are not included in this offer. Pictures are for illustration purpose. All decor items are not included in this offer. I purchased this desk because I needed something basic and inexpensive for my small studio apartment. It arrived quickly, and assembly was relatively straightforward. It's VERY small, however, and the construction is cheap. It feels sturdy once assembled, but the particle board components are very thin. (I actually punctured a hole through one of the boards while hammering in a hardware component, so be careful!)

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a small, simple, inexpensive desk, but don't expect the quality you'd find from a more expensive product.

PROS:
- easy to assemble
- compact
- looks nice
- side shelves for extra storage/display space

CONS:
- cheap construction
- small workspace (fits my 13" laptop but doesn't leave much room for other materials)
- very short- you'll need a low chair! This product is very flimsy and even when assembled properly it wobbles. The design is nice, however the particle board is paper thin (punched the wooden dowels right through the desk top) and the legs are plastic. I did try to beef up the desk and am requesting a refund. There is no manufacturers information or even an 800 number should you need parts or help with assembly.

You are better off going to a Target, KMart or Walmart to find an inexpensive desk of better quality. light weight and easy to handle. Hard drive fits very well on lower shelf;also small enough to fit in my tiny apt.I knew the quality of the desk would be lacking simply based on the price alone, but seriously for how crappy it is there's no reason to even sell it, it's just a waste. This desk lasted maybe 2 weeks before it was not useable anymore. There is zero weight to it, so it wobbles a lot, even with a laptop on it. We ended up having to get rid of this and get a new desk for our 11 year old. If you want a desk for your kid like we did, please pass this one up and find something better. Price is great, but not a long term solution. Save your money and buy something better. Pretty happy with this desk. It is perfect for our college student. Compact and pretty sturdy. It wasn't too hard to put together but the instuctions were a bit difficult to follow. Had my husband been there to help us, I am sure it would have been much easier. I don't have much experience in assembling things. But, we did manage to get it together and my son is happy with itShipping was incredibly fast, especially for the free super savings shipping. Arrived in 3 days. The picture is accurate, but the desk itself looks much smaller in person than it does on the picture. I was planning on using this just as a makeup desk until we moved, but it is really too small for that. May return it, or use it for something else. For the price though, it really isn't bad once you factor in the free shipping. I read the reviews before buying this and I knew it wasn't going to be a very good quality desk. But, I figured at this price as long as it serves it purpose for the time being I would deal with it. Putting it together I was very cautious since I read so many reviews of people screwing right through and damaging the desk. Well, half way through I realized they didn't give me all the pieces and the pieces that I had were not fitting together so it is very easy to break pieces. I can not even put this desk together without the missing piece. I never return things or write reviews but felt it was necessary to really worn buyers. This desk isn't made well at all. I bought it from somewhere else and realized immediatly after taking it from the box that it wouldn't do. Very poorly made, flimsy, part broke of just from general set up. Package came on time alright, but with no manual / instructions and no screws! It was just the boards and plastic in a cardboard box. Unfortunately I gave it to my niece for college and she didn't open it until she was ready, so we couldn't even return it for a refund. I am highly disappointed and upset I wasted my money. This is not a bad little computer table for the price. I did choose to secure the assembled unit to the floor because it was a bit wobbly. It was easy to assemble and is serving its purpose. The delivery was right on time.

should i buy Sauder Office Beginnings Wood Computer Desk reviews

Built with exacting detail and available in several popular finishes. The Beginnings174; line is a fresh concept - good looking furniture at a great value that does the job in any setting. Perfect for new businesses, young people, kids' rooms, basements, or anywhere that requires an affordable solution. Features: Elevated monitor , printer shelf. Slide-out keyboard , mouse shelf with metal runners and safety stops. Dedicated CPU stand storage for vertical tower. Hidden enclosed storage behind door. Cinnamon Cherry finish. CPU opening: W:9 3,8" (23.8cm) D:15 1,2" (39.4cm) H:20 1,8" (51.2cm)This desk is perfect if you are looking for an attractive desk that fits in a small space yet remains functional. The raised portion of the desk can be used for computer peripherals (monitor or printer, etc) while the main desk space can hold several open notebooks for those long study sessions. The side platform was perfect for my Dell 3000 tower. The color is splendidly dark, almost espresso. My husband bought a larger desk from the brand Realspace in the same color (cinnamon cherry) and the two desks match perfectly.

My only complaints would be the following: 1) While assembly was relatively easy, I did need my husband to help with the construction of the raised platform, simply because a second pair of hands was needed due to the slightly awkward arrangement. 2) I prefer to type with my hands on the keyboard while the keyboard drawer is not pulled out. I can't do this with this desk simply because the keyboard drawer is too close against the desk.

My desk was missing one piece (the washer for the bottom door) but once I reported this to the seller, I received the missing piece within the next week. Excellent customer service!

Overall, I think this desk is a great buy as long as you are expecting a dark desk with smaller features. I love it! Nice piece of furniture for the price. Assembly was pretty straightforward, took one person.
However, once put together, I notice the corners are a little sharp, so I have to be careful when my baby tries to reach for things kept on it. Otherwise, very satisfied.

updated:
I recently saw the exact same desk in a different color at Walmart for half the price! :( I can't believe this desk is so cheaply priced. It is a quality piece of furniture and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Arrived quickly and undamaged and went together easily :) The Sauder Office Beginnings Wood Computer Desk has a cinnamon cherry finish. It has an elevated monitor/printer shelf, slide out keyboard/mouse shelf, storage space for a CPU tower, and hidden storage behind a door.

At first the Sauder Office Beginnings Wood Computer Desk might seem a bit small but it is a perfect size for a home office, small bedroom, dorm rooms - basically any small space (I keep it in a small spare bedroom that we use as a home office). The CPU tower fits perfectly into the space provided and I like the fact that it is off the floor especially since I have two cats with fur that seems to get into everything. The storage space with door is surprisingly roomy - I can store a lot of things there including computer paper, books, and CDs. There is an additional shelf that can be used for a printer or anything else you want to put there -for a small desk there is a lot of storage space! The keyboard/mouse shelf seems a bit flimsy but slides in quite nicely. The cherry finish is nice and fits in with the rest of the decor in my house. Although the desk small it takes some time to assemble it - it took my brother about five hours to put it together. The instructions were detailed - it just was a time-consuming project but worth it in the end.Arrived quickly; no damaged or missing parts. Easy, fast assemble if you follow the instructions. Accurate hole alignment. Sturdy and sized well for its intended purpose--complete desktop computer workstation (unless you have a scanner or large all-in-one printer), with adequate keyboard, mouse, and workspace in a compact package. The keyboard drawer slides in and out easily. The simulated wood finish is obviously not fine furniture but it looks OK from across a room. Wouldn't expect the unit to hold up to abuse but it should last a long time with reasonable care and its intended use.

Two complaints: 1) the keyboard drawer doesn't lock into its out position (suspect that is common in this price range). 2). The color is nothing like the description and picture. The product description called the color Maple while the product name called it Pecan and the picture shows a lightish color wood. The unit came labeled Pecan but the actual color is a very dark brown, closer to Dark Walnut. The packaging for this product was fantastic. It was shipped with each edge of the box reinforced as well as being wrapped in a more durable, heavy duty plastic wrap.

The product itself is of high quality. Nice color, nice weight to the boards/parts of the desk. It went together in about 20 minutes and fits perfectly in a nook in my apartment. If you are looking for a small computer desk, this is an excellent option. This desk is really cool, it didn't take long to put together the only things are the corners are a little sharp and it is a little darker color than i expected, but it is really small and can fit almost anywhere. I think this is a quality item and I would recommend this for someone looking for a nice compact desk that is quick to put together!! Exactly as promised and easy to put together. Only time will tell, of course, but so far I am very much in love with this piece! My only small complaint would be that some of the screw covers didn't go on as well as I'd hoped -- would actually have preferred stickers to the push-in ones. I bought the lighter Pecan version of this at the local home improvement store when it was on sale for less than 2/3 of the price listed here. Over the years I've become an expert at build-it-yourself furniture, so the assembly was very straightforward except for the elevated shelf. It helped to have a couple of pieces of styrofoam to balance things out when assembling it. The unit is very sturdy once it is together and had enough room to hold my Canon scanner on the elevated shelf.

In my opinion the best thing about this desk is the keyboard shelf that locks in place so it doesn't slide all over the place as you are typing. I can't tell you how many other computer desks I have had that were so aggravating because they did not have this feature. I would definitely recommend this desk to anyone who needs a computer desk for a smaller space. This one replaced my Z-Line Pacific Compact Computer desk in less space, for less money and in a much better configuration.

should i buy South Shore Axess Collection Desk reviews

This desk is the perfect answer to organizing clutter in your childs room. It features a compact design that includes space for everything needed for schoolwork and projects. A low hutch offers shelving for books or keepsakes, and the spacious desktop offers plenty of room to spread out homework or house a laptop. Underneath, a shelf keeps a computer keyboard ready for use until it is needed. Flexible storage options include a drawer and 2 open shelves that offer room for a CPU, writing supplies and paper. Partially open back for wire management. This desk has been designed to perfectly match any South Shore Furniture item in Chocolate or espresso finishes. Made of recycled CARB compliant particle panels, this bookcase has to be assembled by two adults. Measures 42 inches wide by 20 inches deep by 36.75 inches high. It is delivered in one box measuring 44 inches by 22 inches by 7 inches and weighs 85 pounds. Tools are not included. 5 year warranty. Made in Mexico. First of all, I bought 2 of these. We wanted matching desks for my husband and I in the living room. We paid around $89 each in January 2011. When first removing the parts, I thought we had a great desk, the wood is a little thicker than other desks made this way. I was a little disappointed by the plastic dowels that help hold the pieces together. Most manufactuers use wooden dowels. I was also disappointed with the plastic drawer slides on the drawer. These are 100% plastic with plastic tabs that you lightly hammer into the wood. Each piece (there are 4, 2 on the desk and 2 on the drawer) only has 1 screw to help hold it in place. You tap in these plastic pieces about 1/2 way though the construction, by the time I got to the very end to put the drawer into the desk, these had popped out about 1/2 way, so I had to grab the hammer and tap them back in in order to get the drawer into place. My biggest disappointment would be that nice shelf that runs along the back of the whole desk. This DOES NOT screw down at all. It has 4 of the above mentioned plastic dowels and basically sits right on top of the desk. There are very shallow holes on the top of the desk for the plastic dowels to sit into. You can very easily knock the entire thing off. This would explain why they don't show the monitor on that shelf in the pictures.... I'm not sure why they designed it this way, there is ample room for them to install some cam locks and screws and attach it to the desk more securely. Also, be sure to check your pieces, one desk was missing 2 cam locks, the other was missing 3!

As far as the instructions go, some pieces were not marked as other reviewers have said. Also, it does not tell you which way to have the finished edge facing, so you're not putting things on backwards, when applicaple. You need to pay attention to that. Othewise, I didn't feel that the instructions were hard to understand. I put together both desks while making dinner, took about 2 hours in all. I will be posting pictures soon with the above mentioned problems. You'll be able to see then from the product page, where the manufactuer pictures are. Aside from the shelf not being attached to the desk more securely, I really like these desks. The color is great, mine came very well packaged, no damage at all.

Follow up: April 2011. We've had these desks for a few months now and both hold up very well. We do have our monitors on the small shelf I mentioned above and it has not, as of yet, fallen down. We have both desks back to back, so there really is no way to accidentally hit the shelf and cause it to fall, like I feared would happen. All together a very nice little desk. This was a great buy for me and so far I am very pleased with the purchase. I think the desk looks like youve spent alot more. The wood is strong and the color is great. It was simple to put together, just a female over here with a few simple tools. Would reccommend this to anyone looking for a great desk at a good price! It is smaller than what I expect but it is as described. I loved the color. The design is cute and the price is affordable for a high quality wood. It is a strong wood that does not get scratched quickly. It is perfect for small rooms to save space. It could be used by adults, teenagers, and children. It is small but somehow I like it and I would recommend it. I brought this desk as it was cheap and the perfect size for my room. It was a pain to set up (took about 3 hours) but after everything is worked out, it becomes a great product. I am able to fit all my videogames on the convenient bookshelf as well as all my text books when I am studying. My laptop fits nicely on the desk too.

My only issue with the desk is that it has sharp edges. It's a small issue and still deserve the 5/5 rating I am giving it. Must buy in my opinion. The desk is supper heavy and completely unstable. A Piece of JUNK.
It has millions of small heavy pieces that are supposed to fit together with some plastic little things that are supposed to go inside some holes??!!!! It takes forever to assemble the millions heavy pieces and at the end, you have a wobbly table.
One star is way too much, I wish Amazon would let me do -500 stars I am a college student that needed a sturdy, inexpensive desk and this one definitely suited my needs. The chocolate brown is closer to back than brown, but it is still nice. It took a little while to put together, but well worth it. Plenty of storage space, although I wish it had a second drawer. The number of "wood" pieces and hardware that came out of the box was intimidating. The instructions weren't a lot of help. But if you've put together furniture pieces before, you can figure this one out. You must first insert all hardware into the appropriate pieces, using pictures to direct you. Once all the hardware is in, it's fairly easy to actually assemble the pieces. It took us about 2 hours from start to finish, including head-scratching time. The desk is just what we were looking for, simple but functional. The drawer and keyboard tray work smoothly. The keyboard tray is a good size with plenty of room for a keyboard and mouse pad. The color and finish are what I expected and match the advertised picture. We're happy with the purchase. I bought two, one for each of my kids. It took a while to put the first one together (puzzling out the instructions), but the second one went pretty quickly. All parts were there, nothing missing. The desks have held up well so far (it's only been a few weeks)and they look very nice, as long as you like dark furniture. I bought this desk last year and it arrived in time and all the parts were accounted for. It is not the greatest quality desk out there but for this price range it is among the best. The top shelf is not securely attached and it could fall over if the desk is not placed against a wall. The drawer is spacious and its more than enough for my needs the bottom shelves are adjustable to your needs and are very deep. One thing that did bother me was that it came with a few scratches and with time I added a few more unintentionally. But I wouldn't say that it makes the desk look less attractive. Just be careful what you put on it. One last thing, the edges of the desk are supper sharp I've already hurt myself with them.
Overall, its a good price, a good desk, its small enough for a bedroom and it is extremely functional. This is was an awesome buy!! it was great experience putting th table together..the manual was so neat and very helpful!!
It s a very compact table for our house... The package it is in is so flimsy that anyone who moves it will rip a hole in it. It was a hole in it when I got it. I kept it because once you open the box you can't repackage it so returning would mean buying a box to put it in. Luckingly for me, the damaged part was in a place no one can really see. This is beautifully crafted and looks just like the picture. It has ample space for all your office supplies it is very sturdy and easy to put together. For the price you cannot find a better desk. It looks great in my office!

Sleek and functional, this 40-inch high desk from South Shore Furniture's Axess collection translates as well in a contemporary office as in a teenager’s bedroom. The desk accommodates a desktop or laptop computer and provides plenty of storage in its simple design. Facing the desk, the right side of the unit offers a small utility drawer for pens, tape, and USB cords, as well as two storage compartments to house a CPU, a server, printer, or paper. The compartments are open to enable electric cords to connect various computer components to one another and to a power outlet. On the desk’s left side, a keyboard tray extracts. Both the drawer and the keyboard tray roll out on sturdy metal glides with built-in stops to prevent falling out of the case. A silver-finished metal handle adorns the drawer for easy opening. Made in Mexico. Manufacturer style number: 7270076 Please keep in mind that I am a single mother (not a handy man or Bob the Builder) while reading this review. This desk took me (and only myself) about a little over an hour to completely put together. I found the instructions easy to understand because I can follow picture diagrams fairly well. I'll admit, some parts made did confuse me a bit, but after reading over it once more, I understood. I felt warned when I read previous reviews on this product, but went ahead and bought the desk for the low price anyway, and I do love it. It's very sturdy, which I didn't expect at all. It also has a very nice and modern look to it. It's also quite heavy. I do believe it is a good buy and would recommend this to anyone who has been eying it like I was.
My fiance put this together and he said it took him 2.5 hours to do it, but he's pretty handy when it comes to putting things together. He said it wasn't too bad, but not a walk in the park either.

I like the desk - it's somewhat difficult to find a decent desk with shelves, a hutch, and a drawer for less than $100, so the price was just right for my graduate student budget. My previous "desk" was simply a table from IKEA, and although the table was about 20 inches longer than this desk I feel more organized and less cluttered now that I have a drawer and shelves. The little hutch top is perfect for my 19" monitor, my docking station, and my computer speakers; I put my laptop underneath the hutch, my keyboard on the shelf and I still have plenty of work space plus room for pencil cups or whatnot. I would advise that you buy a separate printer stand if you want ample space, though; I did and I'm really glad I did.

There are two downsides. Number one, the desk sides/corners are *sharp*. I wouldn't put this anywhere near running kids. Just the edge of the desk top is pretty sharp, so if you're leaning on it to do work, scoot far up. The other downside is the height. I'm only 5'2" and I have a task chair with a pneumatic lift. At the lowest setting, I can put my legs under the keyboard shelf if I'm sitting with them straight out in front of me. I prefer to fold my legs up in my chair or cross them while I work, and that doesn't fit so well under the keyboard shelf, so I feel like I have to sit way too far back from my monitor in order to type comfortably. I could remedy that by putting the monitor on the desktop, I suppose, but this set up is much more convenient when I want to unplug my laptop and go, so...

Also, I just got it about a week ago. It's still intact, but I don't expect to last years and years. Like I said, I'm a graduate student on a budget, so this is just for the next 2-3 years while I finish my doctoral program.

should i buy Axess Small Desk reviews

Finish:Chocolate The Axess desk is the perfect answer to organizing clutter in your childs room. It features a compact design yet includes space for everything needed for schoolwork and projects. A low hutch offers shelving for books or keepsakes, and the spacious desktop offers plenty of room to spread out homework or house a laptop. One drawer Two open shelves (one adjustable, one fixed) Open back to facilitate cable management Suitable for both desktop and portable computers Metal handle with a silver finish One sliding keyboard/mouse tray with metal slides and safety stops Made of EPP certified panels 5-year limited warranty I was very pleased with the transaction and desk. The desk arrived earlier than the projected date. It appears just as pictured. Very sturdy and durable.
Finish on the edges is not as good as the South Shore bed platform I had recently bought, you can lightly see the lighter wood finish right where the top meets the edge all the way around each peice. Doesn't look super terrible but I had a wood marker with the bed platform that matched perfectly. Desk seems pretty sturdy though, but not overly heavy/hard to move.
Fits my 32" and 22" monitors (the 22" is rotated 90 degrees in portrait mode). Drawer slides are plastic but seem to slide well enough. I did not install the keyboard tray so I can't comment on that but it looks like it would work well everything is metal for that.

It didn't take that long to put together.

Overall decent desk for the price. I do not regret buying it but for over 100 you would think the edges would have a better finish.

Also if you like resting your arm/wrist on the edge of your desk you might not like this one as it is pretty sharp. This is a solid desk for a great price. Very akin to Ikea-quality products, it feels like it will last a good long time.

PROS:
-compact, but with lots of space
-sturdy; good build quality
-fits my gaming rig, which includes a 23" LED monitor, large gaming computer, and Klipsch 2.1 speakers

CONS:
-top shelf just 'sits' (held in place by pegs), but is not fastened.
-a little heavy for its size (particle board - that's why it's so inexpensive)

OTHER THOUGHTS:
I initially had my monitor on the top shelf thing, but ended up moving it down to the surface level, as it was strange having to look 'up' at the monitor. I built the whole desk and took the shelf and drawer out of the side to fit my computer (I have a HAF 912 case... look it up on Newegg.com, it's on the bigger end of the mid-size cases), and decided not to nail on the back of that area (better airflow). Fits nicely, and has enough space for the fans to draw/exhaust air.

Build time: 1.5 hours
Prior building experience: Almost my entire apartment is IKEA... you do the math.
Build difficulty: If you use your brain and take your time, it is easy. LAY OUT ALL THE PIECES FIRST! It will help I got this desk and everything was there. There is enough space for what I need. Everything is easy to put together except for pounding the nails into the thin part. It is really great and it even smells like it is bade out of wood. To conclude my short review, great for little computer setup and there is no cardboard. Purchased this for my granddaughter. It came in a very heavy box that needed two people to carry it. Once the box was opened and all the pieces pulled out and organized, it seemed a bit overwhelming. The instructions are a bit vague. Surprisingly, the desk went to together easily and turned out wonderful. My granddaughter has been sitting at it for two days straight. All meals are eaten at it. All coloring books colored at it. Anything she can think to do is done at her desk. I believe she'd sleep on it if we'd let her! Arrived within promised delivery time. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again. If you are purchasing this desk, knowing that you are buying a piece of furniture that is "cheap" then it will suit your need. It is not bad quality at all its just not those desks that are made of all wood, instead its particle board. I have been enjoying the desk for my studying and it looks stylish and goes well in my room. Its not too big but it has shelves and a drawer for extra storing. I am overall pleased with this desk! I do have to note it was a little difficult to put together, but definitely doable! The pieces don't fit together correctly. The maker of the desk is located in canada and i'm in new york so they can't send anyone to help. I'm have to resort to pay someone with power tools to come drill the desk together. I'm so disappointed and angry. I purchased this homework desk for my 7th grader who needed her own area/space for assignments. It's large enough for an adult and the compartments work perfectly, but it was a definite hit for my daughter. We ordered the black desk so fingerprints on the wood show up, but wiping off properly covers those issues. The width and height of the desk matches her bed height and fits inside her actual ROOM perfectly. This was a great buy and completely substitued the need for a dorm room desk (that we couldn't find for a better price).

should i buy Ameriwood Corner Computer Desk reviews

Save space and create an ultra efficient work area with this corner desk design from Ameriwood. Featuring ample storage for a CPU, CDs, and other necessary equipment, the desk can be set up to personally suit changing needs. A handy slide-out keyboard shelf makes for easy typing, and the neutral colors help it blend in most any decor. Overall it measures 42.43 inches wide by 42.43 inches deep by 47.81 inches high and weighs 113 pounds. I had ordered this desk because it looked very similar to a corner desk I owned about ten years ago, and was very happy with.
After assembling the desk, I discovered to my dismay that it is too short for me to sit at in a normal office chair. The keyboard shelf makes it impossible for an adult to get their legs under the desk.
Furthermore, a desktop PC case will not fit in either of the pedastal shelves supporting the desk, so I had to put a small table next to the desk for the PC to sit on.
This desk might be a good choice for a child who uses a laptop, but it is just not large or tall enough to serve as an adult's PC desk. Everything went together well. All of the parts were there, and there was no shipping damage. It works better if this is being put together by one person to put the desk on the lower base first. Then add the upper cabinets. It makes a good desk for a computer. Couldn't of asked for a better price, the desk fit perfectly in my room, can't get much better than this, the quality for the price is perfect, not to mention the free shipping? Couldn't of asked for a better deal; If your thinking about getting it, do it. After lugging this thing up a flight of stairs and putting it together and then moving it I can say this is one heavy desk, and is a little bit smaller than the dimensions imply. One nitpick I have is the keyboard is definitely designed for children's desk chairs because it keeps bumping into my knee. Its a minor nitpick that I can easily remove if need be. The instructions are helpful even if the design is a little off and moving it is a pain in the rear. You cannot fit a monitor larger than 20 inches without removing the tops two shelving units but then why would you want to. The desk is pretty easy to put together - 2 people will be a big help, for some of it. The slide-out part for where the keyboard sits is kind of low however, it isn't very much higher than a regular chair, so you will most likely be stuck having your keyboard on top of the desk with your mouse. The shelves are a good size, and are about 9" deep. For the price it's a good desk. Only complaint I have with it, is what I mentioned about the keyboard slide-out. I had ordered this desk because it looked very similar to a corner desk I owned about ten years ago, and was very happy with.
