should i buy Bush Furniture Vantage Corner Desk reviews

This attractive corner desk from Bush Furniture’s Vantage collection affords ample surface and storage space for a home office. Crafted from medium density fiberboard and paper, a rich harvest cherry finish adorns the desk for an elegant veneer. The left side of the desk features an elevated shelf, great for a desk lamp or printer, a small storage shelf, and a CPU storage compartment. For adjusting computer wires and cables, the desk supplies rear access to the CPU compartment. A frosted glass window covers the front of the compartment for CPU concealment. Next to the elevated desk section, the desk contains a file drawer for letter-sized file folders, a second small storage drawer, and two open storage compartments. The shelf separating the open compartments can be adjusted for varied height, or removed for one larger storage space. For ideal monitor placement, the main desktop lies at a diagonal angle so that the user faces the corner of both the room and the desk. A sliding keyboard and mouse tray is mounted underneath the desktop. In the center and right corners of the corner desk, two L-shaped legs extend and lay flush on the floor to support the desktop’s weight. All drawers and the CPU compartment door open with a tug on the chrome loop-style handles. The corner desk requires home assembly and comes with necessary hardware and instructions. In the event of defects, a one-year limited warranty covers this item. The corner desk measures 58-1/2 inches wide by 38-2/5 inches deep by 35-2/5 inches high assembled. Upon shipping, the desk weighs 138 pounds. This desk looks nice, but the quality is poor. The drawers were damage when received, I called the customer service and they sent me the new ones.
Some parts of the desk should be metal but they are plastic instead. So, it is very easy to break. My 16 months old son opened the drawers and CPU door a few times and they broke. They are very easy to get scratches. I hate this about a lot of pressed board furniture: the pre-drilled holes are not in the right place and the drawers and doors are all crooked when you're finished.

It looks sloppy. The door is the only straight piece on this because it can be adjusted with the hinges.

The keyboard tray slides out very easily which is sometimes not so with this type of furniture. It is a beautiful color and would look awesome if the drawers weren't so crooked.

It's very solid, doesn't wobbly at all and has just the right amount of storage space. It has a nice thin 2 shelf system above the filing cabinet section that is perfect for routers, cable modems & other small devices to be placed and free up desk/floor space.

Next time I will be spending more for real wood furniture with STRAIGHT drawers. But for the price, this serves it's purpose well. I rarely write a bad review, but I feel I owe it to those of you considering this desk. While it may look pretty, if you planning on using it for its purpose, you will find it will let you down greatly. I've had screws pull out of the pressboard (in several places!), the filing drawer is always collapsing on me and the hinges to the computer cabinet come loose when you look at them wrong. I am by no means rough on my furniture which is what makes this even more disappointing...This desk looked nice when we got it, however, within a year it started to totally fall apart. Moving it started all the problems. After that it became very unstable. Now, 2 years later, a drawer front has fallen off, and in addition to being rickety, the finish is coming off all over the place. There are chips and nicks over the entire work surface. I wouldn't recommend it. Took about 2 hours to put together had great instructions and everything was labeled to make is super easy to put together. Love the look of it and it definitely has lots of storage space. I would definitely recommend. Help other customers find the mosWe bought this desk from OfficeMax for less than Amazon is selling it, but as OfficeMax requires that we sign up for an account before we review, I figured I could find it here - and I did!

Anyway, the desk -

A few helpful hints:

1) This is not a desk that 1 person can put together themselves without a lot of issues. 2 people make it go much smoother.
2) It's heavy as hell - we have a crib we're going to be putting together shortly that's not as heavy as this monster.
3) Do not expect everything to line up square and flush. Many reviewers on the OfficeMax site said the same thing - why we can never buy an item that actually works the way it's supposed to, I'm not sure.
4) If you have a cordless drill - USE IT. Makes the process 1,000x's easier!
5) Be prepared to drill a LOT of screws in.

My husband and I got this desk put together in about 4-5 collective hrs (we spent a few days doing it) and while we're overall okay with it, we definitely have some lining up issues - the glass-front door is parallel with the drawers but not with the desk itself, the back-side cover isn't flush, etc. There are also some minor cosmetic issues - but thankfully we got lucky and it's on the parts that you can't see unless you're looking for them.

We also think we'll leave it with the house when we move - it is really that heavy.

So yeah - overall not a bad investment, but you have to be willing to overlook the flaws. Happy building! Illustration-only assembly instructions grossly inadequate. Several parts depicted in illustrations that were not included or mentioned as only optional. Wasted much time searching for things that were not there. When very gently standing up one of the two major pieces for connection, it flexed perhaps 5 degrees and tore the cam lock and post mechanisms and associated particle board out, rendering the whole project a 120-dollar piece of trash. I have previously assembled many, many pieces of furniture without incident. Pretty in the pictures, but in reality..... This desk is very cheaply made at an expensive price. Took about 4 hours to put it together. The door fell off the same day. The drawers do not align correctly due to the pre drilled holes. The desktop scratches very easy. It is advertised as a corner desk but it is definitely not a corner desk. So if you are looking for a corner desk, this is not the one. I am very unhappy with this desk as it is really shoddy materials. Buyer Beware!!!! My parents bought this desk locally. I spent a while putting it together. Some pieces of it were already broken and all of the pieces are rather flimsy. I do not recommend spending money on this desk. After a day the keyboard tray fell off--the screws stripped right out of the underside of the desktop. This is a very poor quality item. I like this desk. It's very sturdy. I've had it for about 6 months now and still no signs of wobbling or broken parts. The only sign of wear is where the mouse is used, I don't have a mouse pad so the finish shows signs of wear.

The glass door is adjustable. It used to rub against the drawers until I read the manual again and there is a screw on each hinge to adjust it. No more rubbing.

should i buy Bush Furniture Wheaton Reversible Wood Corner Desk reviews

The Bush Furniture Wheaton Reversible Wood Corner Desk is a smaller desk with a secret: The drawer unit can be placed on either side, allowing for more options in a smaller space. It features a down-to-earth design that gets the job done, and is perfect for use in your home or small office. The design also features a space for your printer, and special trays to keep your current projects close at hand, and out of site, reducing clutter. Features: Small design doesn8217;t take up much roomEasily reconfigured as a left handed or right handed workstationClean linesLetter sized file drawerPrinter shelfCompartments to store work keep your desk clutter free. I wanted to review this desk on here and add some pictures since no one else has. This desk was perfect for what we needed and fit wonderfully. It is a great size. I needed compact with a filling drawer and corner. After many many searches I found this. Purchased on [...]. Do a quick Google search for Hayneedle coupons and you will get $10 off free shipping. Came in two days. Very overwhelming when putting together but in the end very worth it. The instructions are clear (although I sometimes had a bit of trouble trying to figure out which little screws went with what as it's all pictures with a few part references) but every little bag of screws and other parts are labeled. Although a pain to put together, there are just a lot of pieces. Took my husband and I 2.5 hours non stop to get it put together.

The only thing I wish it had is the ability to use the "printer stand" on another part of the desk. I wanted to maybe use it to sit my screen on top, or on the opposite end of where it HAS to go (above the drawers) but it is secured to the desk, making it safe for your printer. So not much of a bad thing.

All on all, desk is wonderful. Drawers slide smoothly, nice finish. The black has this wood grain type of look to it (just look not texture.)This desk has proven to be perfect for my needs. It is a great size (compact without feeling too small) with a corner and has very smooth drawer movement. The contrast in colors look nice with a black chair in the yellow room in which it has been placed. It is only pressboard with a faux finish, so don't expect a rich piece of furniture.

The desk is a little overwhelming when you first begin to put it together but, once you get started, it's not so bad. Just take it step by step - the instructions are strictly pictures, which aren't always completely clear (we put 3 sections together incorrectly and had to redo them), but every part is well labeled. It took my boyfriend and me only 2.5 hours to get through all 32 steps.
Bought it from the store yesterday. The instruction is very clear. All the components are labeled. It took me a few hours to put it together. Very steady and looks good in my room. I am very pleased with the purchase, especially I got the great deal from Staples, only 70 bucks for this clearance item with coupon.

Bought it from the store yesterday. The instruction is very clear. All the components are labeled. It took me a few hours to put it together. Very steady and looks good in my room. I am very pleased with the purchase, especially I got the great deal from Staples, only 70 bucks for this clearance item with coupon. It arrived as planned; my partner assembled it before I even arrived home. He said it did take some effort to assemble, but it looks great and fit my space perfectly. I also believe it to be great value for the price. Bought this desk at bush direct. Paid 189 and got free shipping...good deal I thought. Till I went to Staples to get a chair for it and found the same desk for 130. Don't assume the online deal is always the best.
As far as the desk it's self I really like it. Fit well in my apt and wasn't too hard to put together. Just be sure you have some help, certain parts just can't be held in plce and screwed together at the same time by one person.
It has a large top work surface and room to put a desktop computer underneath. The file drawer is letter size and big enough for and average households common files. I found the product fairly easy to assemble, It may take a few hours, perhaps(3). Great option of a right or left
location for the drawer assembly. There are two separate parts and the desk portion needs the drawer assembly to stay upright. Otherwise a good product. I purchased a separate keyboard drawer and installed it and the desk is very usable. This desk is not the best. Some laminate easily scraped off when I was installing the desk. It really does not take that long to put together with two people. We put it together in about two hours. And that was while a football game was going on so we were somewhat distracted at times. It is slightly shaky so I would not go sitting on it. But I do plan on putting some braces onto it for additional support.

The coloring is whatever. Ikea's fake wood looks much better than this. The desk is also fairly thin and the quality is lacking. But it does the job as long as it will not be moved around a lot. The corner is also VERY deep. Leaves you lots of room to spread out. I plan on putting my laptop on top of the printer stand giving me useable space on the desk.

However, I could not put in the left handle on the top drawer as the holes were not drilled correctly, making them too far apart. I will be uploading a photo of this. It has been two weeks since the seller returned my first email, and I have YET to receive the drawer or be contacted by the manufacturer as the seller has promised. It took me 9 hours ( 3 separate days total) to put this thing together. In the end it was totally worth it. It fits perfectly in our small extra bedroom.. However the wood is flimsy on some parts and some of the bigger pieces came scratched. Also, the laminate on the lighter wood is already peeling off. But this desk beats the other desk I had and I really enjoy the extra drawer space. This desk has proven to be perfect for my needs. should i buy Share your own related images Bestar Hampton Corner Workstation in Tuscany Brown reviews

I spent about 5 1/2 hours putting this desk together. This arrived on a pallet and is very heavy. The deliver guy will not put this desk in your home. They can put it in a garage or by your front door.

At first glance this can seem like an overwhelming project once you get the box open and sort out the parts. It's manageable to do for one person but the instructions recommend two. This is time consuming. Not ever part was labeled clearly so keep that in mind when your looking for part #73.

The desk is stunning when its completed. Its sturdy and of very good quality. I find it very ergonomic and I would highly suggest this to someone who is at their desk for extended hours.

The price of this desk goes up and down very frequently. Try to buy on a low day to make up for the shipping cost. The desk arrived pretty quickly (6 days-Canada to Florida).
It was in a single box that weighed about 170 lbs.
The biggest challenge were the instructions, they were mostly exploded views with arrows pointing to where parts went.
It took me 5 hours to assemble, the instructions said to have two people putting it together. I was alone is probably why it took that long.
Make sure you're away from the walls when working on it, the last steps is to get behind the desk from the bottom and secure it, and then you really need two people to move it closer to wall.
When it's assembled it looks great. It takes up quite a bit of wall space, but very functional.
All and all, I'm very satisfied with the desk. I knew it wasn't finished at the back because another reviewer said so but it really, really isn't finished!!! Just acres of bare particle board. I'm using it to half partition a room so it matters to me.

That said... It went together in a couple of hours, feels solid, arrived in perfect condition and looks great (from the front). Just like it does in the picture. Oh and it is properly HEAVY!!!!!

One unexpected complaint though. No thought what-so-ever has been given to cable management. I had to drill extra holes so that keyboard, monitor & mouse cables go somewhere sensible.

Conclusion: Waaaaaaaay, way cheaper than the alternatives but you get a lot for your money. Be prepared to add finishing touches yourself and you'll get a bargain. Bought this desk for a new study room and it's pretty fantastic. All the screws and joints are metal, not those cheapo plastic cam screws you get for IKEA products. This is a solid desk, but it's also a HEAVY desk. I believe the delivery man said the shipping weight was 250+ lbs and it comes in a relatively compact box. I had to open the box and carry the pieces up the stairs one at a time in order to get the desk into the room I wanted. Assembling the desk also requires two people in my opinion. It could be done with a single person but I believe you'll risk damaging portions of the desk and will have great difficulty lining up some of the pieces such as the raised desk piece that sits in the middle. All-in-all a fantastic, quality-made desk that I am extremely confident will last for quite a while. Just make sure you have a plan for getting it into the room and also a hand to help you assemble the desk. I shopped for weeks to find the perfect desk. I actually purchased a desk from another company called Office Furniture online, and what a mistake. After waiting for a month for delivery, they actually lost my desk. I had a very difficult time getting my money back. I've learned my lesson, I'll never use anyone but Amazon again. Amazon has great products, at great prices, items have never come damaged, and they have never lost anything! This desk was as beautiful as the picture, moderately easy for my husband to put together, and fit perfect. Highly recommend this desk. Only reason for 4 stars is because of a few parts not being labeled. The box came in great shape and is packaged very well. At first I would agree with most how heavy and overwhelming it may seem when laying all the pieces out. But after a quick review of the manual which I think is detailed great and made the assembly process go smoothly. I finished in 3hrs by myself. I am not the best handy man either so I am proud. I would recommend if you do it by yourself to try and assemble not to far from where you are going to place it. What I did was before I assembled the two main corner pieces together (I think page 7 or 8) I moved the desk close to where it goes in the room. so now it wont take much to move it perfectly into corner of room. Also you probably will need at least two people to help move it into the corner of room. I like the quality for what you pay for, the back pieces around desk are not finished, but that is what the desk is for to hide that part anyway. Overall I feel that I got what I was expecting, I great big corner desk that fits into our office perfectly... This desk is incredible. Took me about 2.5 hours to put together myself. Having a second person is nice for 1 or 2 steps but most of the time you are putting the hardware (brackets and connectors) in place and that is a 1 person job. I read some of the reviews before ordering and I was concerned about the back panels not being finished but the one i ordered had the back panels all finished! There is some exposed edges that could be painted to look better but non of the Full sides were unfinished.

Overall I am very happy.

My only concerns are the desk is pretty tall for what I am used to. I never use keyboard trays and have always opted to put my keyboard and mouse on the desk. I had to raise my chair to the max.

Also as others have stated their is no cable holes I had to make my own in order to navigate the wires for a few things.

Also there are a few steps that having a Power Screwdriver helps. =D Ok first off I am not sure if the instructions and labeling has improved, but I assembled this desk in 1 and a half hours, and that includes a few errors that had to be undone.

Now my review, when it arrived the box was a little dinged up but, not too badly. The box itself protects the desk very well and could have withstood a lot more abuse. The desk is mostly assmbled by the twist and lock peg style assembly (it does have some regular screws), which made me nervous but actually speedied up assembly time and I honestly don't think regular screws could do much better. As I mentioned assembly was a little instensive and would have gone more smoothly if i paid close attention as to which way the finished sides were facing. As a suggetion for installing the brackets that connect the desktop together, only install the screws loosely so you can make sure you get it lined up with the piece next to it and the predrilled holes, this is where i spent way too much time tightening and un-tightening these screws. Other than that just pay attention and assembly is easy.

Once I assembled it, I tested it by sitting on it, at first with my feet on the ground, then picked my feet up and it held my 220lb body fine. The monitor stand holds my dual 24" monitors with a little room to spare. The keyboard tray was described as small by other reviewers, but it fits my logitech g510 (which is much wider than most keyboards) and still has room for my mouse to move around, occasionally it gets cramped, but I rarely notice it. It has adjustable screws on the feet so it can be easily adjusted to make up for an unlevel floor. Also as others mentioned on just about every site I have seen the back is unfinished so it should be put in a corner just like it is described as a "corner desk".

The only issue I have is minor and mentioned by other reviewers so i expected it, it does not have any cable management, but that can easily be fixed with a drill as I plan to, I also plan on putting an underdesk cpu holder mounted to the underside of the desk, and found the desktop to be more than thick enough to hold the support screws.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, I knew what I was getting with this desk because I did a lot of research and read every review I could find. I expected assembly to be a much bigger pain, but was pleasantly surprised. If you have any questions as to any other aspect of this desk just leave me a reply and I will get back to you with an answer. I just purchased this desk a few weeks ago, and I love it. While it is very heavy and assembly intensive, (it took my brother and I about 2 hours to put it together), it is definitely worth it. It looks professional and it is nice and sturdy which I like as I place a lot of weight on my desks.

Not all of the boards had stickers with the part number on them, these boards had the number stamped onto the thin, unfinished, edges. I think that might be some of the trouble other people had with assembly. Hope that helps.

The only thing I found disappointing was are there are no holes for computer cords in the little cubbies. I have multiple computers/keyboards on top of the desk and the cables have to run off the edge of the desk. It is minor and easily fixable though. Also, the cupboard with the door to the side could really use a shelf, but that is also minor.
This review is from: Bestar Hampton Corner Workstation in Tuscany Brown Black Finish
This desk is perfect for my needs. It is solid and has plenty of space. I work from home and on the computer 8-12 hours per day. The monitor platform easily accomodates my dual 20" wide screen monitors. The space below is perfect for those things I need to keep at hand, and for my laptop docking station. It looks very nice with my other office furniture of the same finish and blends right in. As others have said, though, this desk is best used in the corner, since the back side is completely unfinished. The way I have mine situated, about 18" of the back is viewable, so I spray painted it black to match the accents. In case your wondering as I was, the closed cabinet cannot be moved to the right side, it must be installed on the left.

Putting this together does take some time, especially if you are doing so alone. It took me about 3 hours, but it was very manageable, even for a small woman like myself (<5 ft and 115 lbs...).

The only reason I did not rate this 5 stars was because of the packaging. This was shipped wrapped in a very thin cardboard, not even a box so much as just a wraparound. There were a couple of corners on the supports that were a little damaged, but not so much that I felt I should return the whole thing. It is VERY heavy, so prepare to take the pieces out and carry them to where you are putting this together as you need them, because the freight driver WILL NOT take this up stairs. I had mine placed in the garage and just carried things in as I needed them.

should i buy South Shore Furniture Prairie Collection Corner Desk, reviews

This attractive corner desk from South Shore’s Prairie Collection, with its three-sectioned body and hutch, affords ample surface and storage space for the home office. With the mid-section’s rollout keyboard shelf and open hutch window, the desk design accommodates a computer with up to a 21-inch monitor. The open hutch permits discrete cable passage to an electrical outlet, or other computer accessories like a workstation tower, printer, or speaker set. Store these extra computer components next to the hutch of either desk’s side section, or on the fixed shelf below of each section’s tabletop. File boxes, notebooks, and large books also find a home on these shelves. For smaller books or displaying framed photographs, one of the hutch’s side segments offers two adjustable shelves to create three compartments. The other section hosts a black 18-CD rack between two tall cubicles of identical size. Two short horizontal shelves sandwich these three vertical partitions while housing office essentials like a stapler, calculator, hole punch, tape dispenser, and USB cables or flash drives.
The Environmentally Preferred Product (EPP) certified corner desk is crafted out of engineered wood and recycled fiber, with a warm country pine finish. The 22-by-15-inch keyboard shelf rolls out on patented metal slide tracks with safety stops to prevent overextension of the shelf. The corner desk matches the Morgan Collection lateral filing cabinet, available through separate purchase. This unit requires home assembly. To clean the desk, wipe with a damp cloth and avoid the use of ammonia-based cleansers to prevent the finish from deteriorating. Shipped in two boxes, a limited five-year warranty covers this item upon its purchase and online registration. Assembled with the hutch, the 55-inch high corner desk spans an area 62 inches wide by 62 inches deep and weighs 143 pounds. I just got this desk yesterday and I have to say, I'm very impressed with it.

After only seeing one review for this product, I was a little wary about purchasing something like this online. However, I've always had good experiences with Amazon so I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. One great part this product is that it's eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping. That really helped, though it took a couple of weeks for my desk to finally get here.

Please keep in mind that this desk is HUGE. Also, I was under the impression that I would be getting one parcel, but in fact this desk comes in two separate boxes. The delivery man had to struggle to get these in the door because they were so heavy.

The desk took me around three hours to assemble. I'm a girl and I worked by myself on it, so maybe it will give you an indication on how easy it is to put together. The instructions were very clear and if you follow all the steps you can have it up in no time. The time consuming part was that there were so many pieces (not to mention steps) but believe me, it's worth it.

As for the end product itself, it looks amazing when you set it up. It looks EXACTLY like it does in the preview images here. Sometimes you see something online and it doesn't turn out to be what you imagined. This is exactly what you would expect. It's not flimsy junk, either. The desk feels very sturdy and comes with a built-in drawer for your computer keyboard, and even comes with a built-in CD rack. The desk is beautiful, and really saves space. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with any drawers for storage, but that wasn't a particulary important feature for me.I built this on my own as I had put a few of these together by myself in the past. None had as many parts as this...I don't think my back has forgiven me yet :o) The two main construction issues I came across were (i) the cd racks were too small - I contacted the company and they sent me free replacements in a very timely fashion, and (ii) the holes for the metal plates were too small and not in line - I ended up having to use a drill to start the screws entries in then finish manually with a standard tool.
I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, who works long hours on-call for his IS department. He needs room for several CPU's, monitors, and the like. The middle of the desk is hardly supported by brackets. It bends in when you lean on it with your elbows! So he can only put a couple monitors on the surface. The hutches don't sit straight on the desktop, even with the appropriate attachments. Overall, it is usable so I don't want to waste money and time to send it back. But it is definitely not what I paid for.

Oh and it was missing a lot of hardware when it initially arrived. But the customer service for this company was stellar! They sent an entire new hardware set overnight and were very friendly.
This was everything that I wanted! Not only does this desk have tons of relestate to spread your work over, it is very sturdy. I would recommend this desk to anyone who is willing to donate a corner of their room to a big desk. The only drawback would have to be the time to build the desk, but it makes for a relaxing afternoon with mindless assembling. Just like one other reviewer I am still waiting for this item to ship, it has been canceled once already and I had to reorder it, If it doesn't ship this time I guess ill have to give up and go somewhere else. I hope amazon can ship it this time and stop making me wait. I ordered this desk in July. After a few days I received a backorder email. No problem, these thing happen.. However as I write this 'review' it is Nov 23rd, I still do not have the desk, and I just received another delay email. You look on the description it says they ship in 3-5 days. Don't believe it..

I think they are hoping I'll cancel my order so they don't have to sell it at the price stated. Notice that other sellers list the same item much higher. NOT A CHANCE AMAZON! I'll keep on 'approving' the changes for the next year if I have to..

I'll update my review If I ever actually receive the desk... This desk was a little larger than expected, but sturdy. My high schooler uses it for all of her school work and art work. Has a lot of shelf space. WAY too much assembly and a bit pricey for the work you have to do to assemble. I just got this desk yesterday and I have to say, I'm very impressed with it.

I am very pleased with the end result. It is very, very, very user and storage friendly. I am truly a happy camper.

should i buy Bestar Hampton Corner Workstation in Tuscany Brown reviews

The Hampton corner workstation unit features a monitor shelf, open and close storage and a keyboard shelf on ball-bearing slides for smooth and quiet operation. 1" (25mm) work surface features deluxe 0.25 mm shock resistant PVC edge. Also available in San I spent about 5 1/2 hours putting this desk together.

Also as others have stated their is no cable holes I had to make my own in order to navigate the wires for a few things.Ok first off I am not sure if the instructions and labeling has improved, but I assembled this desk in 1 and a half hours, and that includes a few errors that had to be undone.

I had mine placed in the garage and just carried things in as I needed them.

should i buy Coaster L-Shape Home Office Computer Desk reviews

Computer UnitDimensions: 43.25"L x 24"W x 30"H. CornerDimensions: 24"L x 24"W x 30"H. Desk UnitDimensions: 43.25"L x 24"W x 30"H. Finish: Cappuccino. Material: Wood and Glass. L-Shape Home Office Computer Desk. Home office desk with style, glass desk top with cappuccino finished legs. Item features pull-out keyboard tray and CPU Stand. Item is designed to be practical in use and to beautify your home decor. Simple assembly required. This may not be the best review but it is not anything that I didn't write to visiondecor about. PRICE: the prices was reasonable in comparison with the other sites that carried this desk. I was not pleased in that the shipping took took long. I think I ordered on the 9 and actually received on the 20th. I though the initial arrival date was the 14th that didn't happen. COLOR: the color is nice dark brown wood it actually matches well with the inexpensive IKEA dark-brown file cabinet I have. The desk feels sturdy for a home quality item , feels stable and doesn't tip. For me the desk is the right size. It doesn't overtake the room. ASSEMBLY: When you assemble the desk you should determine what side you want the computer side (return) on. It is actually the opposite of the picture shown. The computer return sits to the Right. PACKAGING: The packaging of the item is great. Unless you need to return an item. The desk is encased with a foam packing so it comes very secure. I was afraid the glass would break but it was all good. The only problem is it will be difficult to repack due to this special packaging. The integrity and security of the assembled desk is good and it looks amazing. HOWEVER, the issue is the curved legs. The dark colored laminate was peeling and starting to buckle on 2 of the 4 legs ( the legs that support the inner portion). This is not a shipping issue but a issue with how it is manufactured I am sure. Normally I would return the desk but to wait almost 2 more weeks was not an option. SO I have to reglue the laminate to the legs or have them replace them legs. I did go to the visiondecor customer service line and they were helpful. So I don't think they will "keep you hanging" I just don't have the time to reassemble a new desk, repack and mail items just to busy for that. Would i purchase from them again, maybe but I would try and ask more questions upfront. I hope this review is helpful. With the exception of the "peeling legs" the desk is fashionable & functional for now and I would buy it.
I purchased this desk to take the place of a large desk and a small desk in my home office. I work from home so I have my work computer system and I also have my home computer and home office items. I am very happy with the purchase. The shipping was exactly as promised. The assembly wasn't too difficult and the desk is very nice. The only problem is that moving the desk when assembled is kind of tricky but if you remove the glass and have at least two people, it can be done. I would recommend this seller and this item.
I am very hard on my desks, and finally decided a durable glass top would be the best way to go, but I wanted wooden accents rather than metal. I have a fairly traditional house but use my desk for extended hours working from home so really needed extreme durability. This desk fit the bill perfectly.

The desk shipped with expert foam packaging and protection.
Assembly was fairly simple, and took me about 2 hours total to get everything just so.

The espresso finish looks very much like wood, even has some texture to it to give the appearance of natural wood lines. It has held up beautifully, and after about a year of owning this desk there is no marring on the wood finish, (which is pretty much a miracle given the way I abuse my desks). There are some faint score marks on the glass top but they are very light and I'm sure a natural result of the 10 hours a day I use it. Unless you are looking for them, they are not noticeable.

I use an espresso file cabinet with three drawers (one pencil size, two file size) and put it underneath the desk with enough clearance to even slide a laptop or several books on top of.
I use this desk in my master bedroom in a fairly small house, and while it does take up quite a bit of space it doesn't overpower the room.
I would definitely buy this again in a heartbeat. Desk is very stylish. Well made for the money. It can be assembled to fit either corner of a room. I am pleased with my purchase. I would definitely buy this again in a heartbeatThis is a nice desk for the price. It does not look like an expensive desk but, it's a really great option for the price. Ups: looks good and is functional. Down: the instructions are TERRIBLE and the keyboard tray has HOLES in it so that you have to use a moust pad instead of the surface. Packaging was awesome and it arrived in great condition. Totally worthy purchase. Beware the instructions! I LOVED this desk. It's beautiful, modern and sleek. Looks amazing! After about 3 weeks of use (for my laptop and a printer) it became wobbly and unstable. It looks like it is durable, but failed to actually be so. I have resorted to getting a new desk. This is one of the best looking computer/home office desks I have seen. Although modern, it fits well with the traditonal style of our home. Tons of workspace but still feels open because of the glass. Just know that it is big...mark out where you want it to go...it requires a significant "total space". And for the price, it's a steal. Assembly was slowed down to a crawl due to instructions lacking detail explanation. Manufactor failed to have individual (technical support)return my call. Technical support failed to answer my voice mail message. WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN Coaster Division L-Shape Computer Desk Unit in Cappuccino Finish My desk was delivered quickly and was fairly easy to put together. It looks great, is really functional and it has room for all my components. I like that it comes with a CPU shelf I could hide all my cords behind plus the keyboard tray is perfect for my wireless keyboard & mouse. It's good quality, looks just like the picture, and I love its clean organized look! This desk is really nice & sturdy and the price made it even better. For something so inexpensive I was kind of expecting it to be a bit on the junky side, but it is far from it. We did have a problem with the shipping. There was a delay...we weren't notified. It was confusion, but I called customer service, spoke with the most pleasant young woman and all was taken care of.
For the inconvenience we even got free shipping! I would highly recommend this company and their products. Help other customers I purchased this desk for my husband. He loves it. It arrived with the outside carton broken, but the inside carton protected the desk.

My husband put the desk together in no time. It is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this desk to anyonel.

should i buy Graphite & Frosted Glass L-Shaped Computer Desk reviews

RTA-3803-GPH06 Computer/Accessories not included Features: -Frosted Tempered Glass main desk area.-Pullout keyboard drawer with safety stop.-Mobile CPU Caddy.-Legs are made of MDF with matching black PVC laminate.-Front privacy panels made of perforated steel.-Available in Graphite.-Desk Dimensions: 64.5''W x 54.5''D x 30''H. This desk is perfect for my room, very sturdy also. The frosted bottom of the glass gives it a great look.
My only issue with this desk (but hardly deserving of 4 stars) is the assembly. While the concept of assembling it is very easy, the screws going into holes is not. The corner piece was a little bit of a pain to attach to the left and right side of the desk and not being lined up perfectly. I had to adjust a few things. Like put flat washers here and there to make the glass level with each other. Other than my assembly frustration, definitely the best desk I have seen around and great for value. This desk took me a several hours to put together. There were no pieces missing which is always a good thing. Everything was well marked and the packaging was pretty good as well. Although there was some shifting of some of the components during shipping, none were scratched or damaged. There were some problems with the glass tops being equally level where they butt up to each other, so I had to use some rubber washers to raise the lower pieces up to match the higher one. This was not a big issue since I had an assortment of washers, but it would be nice if they included some rubber washers for this purpose as I did note another person with the same issue here on Amazon before I purchased my desk. Now that the desk is complete I will say that other than the keyboard drawer not being wide enough to fit a standard keyboard and a mouse pad I love it. I just put the mouse pad on top of the desk. It is a solid desk, the keyboard drawer slides well and the light green tint to the glass does not show dust! If it were not for the "undersized" keyboard and flush issues with the top I would have given this desk a 5 star rating. It is a great looking desk that I consider an excellent value and I do highly recommend it. This desk was a great buy. I gave it 4 stars due to building it but still highly recommend it to anyone that has a little patience when putting things together. It takes a little bit of time to get all the glass lined up evenly but if wait to tighten the screws down and make sure you're building it where its going to go so the floor level is accounted for its fairly easy. Not a huge fan of the quality of the screws and I'm sure they are made from pot metal, so be careful screwing them in as not to strip them. Overall took about 1.5-2 hours to build by myself and the plus side is it looks great.
**NOTE - The boxes were pretty busted up but there was zero damage to any of the parts inside due to the way its packaged inside. I was a bit concerned when this arrived. The cardboard packaging was very low quality and very soft. However, the internal packaging did the job and nothing was damaged, even though the shipping straps had cut well into both boxes. Assemby instructions had no words but the pictures worked great. A couple words on the leveling process to even the work surface would have been helpfull, but managed without. Several reviews read before ordering complained about the keybaord drawer. I use a full size Logitech keyboard, and still have room for the mouse - and it works great without a mousepad on the graphite surface. A pencil drawer on the other side would have been really nice, instead of the CPU caddy which is extraneous for me and the rest of the world who have moved on to laptops. Its a bit smaller than the creative pictures suggest, but is working great in my showroom. Its a great match for a high tech setting. I am happy I chose these materials, as it quite appears it will be a very durable piece. This desk was perfect for my new Audio workstation. Just the right size for the corner of my decent sized bedroom. put it together in about 2 hours. it's well made and sturdy. I wouldnt use the caddy as my PC case is too robust for it and its an uneccessary addition.

Installation notes:

1. don't use a cordless screwdriver...the screw heads are cheap and will strip easily. don't be an "idiot man of the house hard guy" who needs to use a screw gun on everything to save time and look cool.. use a regular screwdriver. It's not that difficult.

2. leave the middle bracket assembly screws ( the triangle looking piece) a bit loose so you can adjust them, before you put the glass on. that way you can adjust the brackets if you need to get the glass to lay flush, I needed to do this. THEN tighten the bracket screws and win.

3. DO NOT use windex or any other kind of glass cleaner on the glass, and it says this quite clearly on the manual. I used plain water and it works fine, also be careful not to scratch the underside of the glass when handling, you'll be looking at the mark forever, and the appearance is already sort of uneven by design. I received the two boxes containing the desk on Friday and saw that one of the boxes was quite haggard-looking on the outside. As I inspected the first box, things were still packed nicely and there were no problems. But on opening the haggard-looking box, the main metal support frames and black wood panels were loosely scattered throughout the inside of the box. I am unsure as to whether they became loose before they were shipped or during their shipment, but there are several deep scratches in the metal posts and one of the black wood panels has a small piece chipped away on the corner. There are other marks on the wood that seem to have happened because the pieces were not secured well and protected from each other in the packaging. The desk is functional and fit securely together notwithstanding these blemishes sustained from poor packaging. I really like this desk, it looks great and was easy to assemble. I have a 15" MBP and 24" Samsung monitor on the desk along with an Epson scanner and feel that the size of the desk is just right. The desk is very durable and holds up to abuse from my toddler very well. It still looks fantastic after months of use. No wabble, this is a very solid and sturdy desk compared to the crap you will find at Staples/Office Depot. A bit higher than I wanted to pay for a desk... It looks good. Don't touch the frosting AT ALL or it leaves wet looking fingerprint marks. Looks almost like the frosting has rubbed off. Haven't tried to clean it yet, afraid it will just make it worst. The corner piece was ridiculous to install. Only 2 of the 3 screw holes would line up. It came missing 1 screw & 1 screw hole attachment thing for the graphite looking base pieces. Also each piece of glass is stamped "Tempered Glass" on the side where you are sitting.. They could of at least put that on a less visible area or not at all. Seems sturdy. You will need a mouse pad of some sort. Optical mouses don't work well at all on this glass. Haven't tried a laser mouse yet. I use it daily, and it was really easy to put together. I have a 32 inch monitor that is on the corner piece. There is not any support there, and I feel safer with a little support under that heavy monitor. That is the only bad part. The desk is exactly as described. The glass looks great, albeit two of the pieces have "Tempered Glass." stamped on the edge while the third piece has ".Tempered Glass" stamped on the corner. The desk itself is stable and sturdy and looks great. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours to put together, but the directions are pretty simple. Overall pretty pleased with my purchase. Deducted one star for being a little pricey.

Protip: When assembling the desk, poke the supplied screwdriver into the holes on the mdf boards so that the little metal bit that will hold the screw once you put it together is aligned properly. It will make putting the boards on to the legs much easier. This is a great looking desk and very easy to put together. Instructions were very well written and all bolt come with their own bag that is individually marked by size. This is one of the most organized pieces of furniture I've ever bought. Once put together this desk is like a rock very sturdy and very appealing to the eye. One note to make it the part that holds the key board is not the same length as the other part of the desk, in pictures it looks close to being the same in reality it is just a little wider that the keyboard tray. Only other thing to watch is if you use a drill to put bolts in make sure it is set on a low setting and you have plenty of pressure on bolt, they like to strip very easily. Overall this is a good quality desk for a very good price.
