My shipment arrived on time and in good condition, nothing was broken or missing. I also bought a 4 tier book case from this seller that match to the desk. I will post a picture of the desk and the book case later on.
I'm in a small room in an apartment for the summer and needed a desk
to do work on after I get home. There was only about a 2.5 foot wall
that had space to fit a desk and a chair so I thought this small desk
would be a good fit. Also, I wanted something cheap since I didn't
intend on moving it with me after the summer was over.
Well, I guess it was cheap and a good fit size wise. Unfortunately, as I am typing on my computer, this desk is moving around like it's dancing. I apologize for the bad comparison but if you don't mind cheap plastic, cheap laminate that already looks old after 3 days of use, and intense wobbling as you type or write, then this is the desk for you.
Otherwise, I'd spend like double the money for a desk about the same size but at least stable. I got this for 19.99 ar the local Smal-mart. It's not as bad quality as people are making it out to be. Yes the legs are made of several segments of plastic that you screw together, but it's ultra sturdy. For a laptop, it's just perfect (I hook mine up to a keyoard so I need a desk.) It says it will support eighty lbs and I ten to believe that, but I wouldn't push it past 40. Anyway, you aren't using this for a 52" TV just a monitor. It'll be fine. No worries. You may have some chipping on yours but for this price I can't complain. Get it. Awesome deal.
P.S. It will take about 20-30 min. to screw together. You will also need a phillips screwdriver and a hammer (though the nails are just for little tabs that keep the keyboard from sliding off the back of the tray, so optional.) I need something small for my apt so I got the this. I like it fits right where I need it. I put it together real easy. The only prob I had is puting keyboard together. And I still did not get it together some help with that plz This home laptop/notebook computer desk is fantastic! I now use it as a notebook desk and the top as a place to put my printer,fax,copier,scanner. It is a very sturdy desk. Though it does move a little bit side-to-side when my printer prints. But not much to worry about at all. It surely meets my needs. It's a very good table only if you know how to assemble it. It's a good product for a small budget. Bad, not sturdy and height is bad...dont buy this...you can get better stuffs from craiglist for this price..So dont waste money on this...i even cant find a buyer in craiglist for this chair...very very bad,,,,Very easy to assemble. But it has been serving good....through all the moving and children kicking and shaking...its still going strong. In addition, the materials were so cheap and flimsy that simply putting the item together was already causing it to fall apart. The desk is made of particle board which can be very strong but the workmanship was very poor. The "tape" that covers the edge of the desk was coming off in several places. I remember making desks with a vinyl edge cover that had a groove in it to help hold it to the wood. This desk had a sort of tape cover that looked and felt cheap. What can you expect from products made in china? POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS THATS WHAT. This desk is not worth 5 dollars. it may look nice in the picture but in reality it looks and feels cheap. Not related was that the desk came damaged. It was dropped on the corner and the desk is not repairable even with the best glue. very poor handling. i did use this desk for a few minutes. I got this for my 11 yr old daughter for christmas. She has a laptop, and I needed something cheap for her. If you want this for a child and their laptop, this then is a great product. when I was using my daughters laptop and at her desk it did wobbly a lot for me. but my daughter does not seem to mind.This is a computer desk for $30 - really...what do you expect to get for $30! It holds up my monitor and my printer sits on the bottom shelf. Other than that I wasn't expecting it to do too much for the money. It is very easy to assemble but does rock/sway when you type. This is a great temporary or transition desk but I would not buy it as a permanent desk. I thought that this desk would be easy to assemble like it says in the title but it ins't when the cork part is cracked. I did as the instructions said but the black pieces wouldn't stay in. And also the desk is wood and very cheap plastic. I'm returning this asap. poles are plastic, so it is not so steady. But you can still use it. I like it has a keyboard drawer. and it is not so expensive. Just worth the price Parts do not fit well together. In order to get the keyboard shelf on, i had to bend the 2 slide pieces, and now it will not slide in and out. Made of lightweight plastic, and the metal parts most resemble aluminum foil (they bend way too easily) this is not something I will ever reccommend to anyone. You get what you pay for, and with this item, it's not worth even that. Don't waste your time or your money. I bought this as a temporary desk for a guest. It was so embarrassingly cheap and wobbly that I just threw it out. I ended up buying a metal one for about 70 dollars at a local computer store.This item is a little tiny desk, of appropriate height, made of plastic tubes and particle board. It's exactly what it looks like. It was surprisingly sturdy, though, with only a little wobble. Easily holds a monitor and mouse on top, if your monitor is a flat screen. Don't use one of the great big keyboards, though. The base holds a small computer well. It's a good buy for a good price, but don't expect hardwood and extreme sturdiness. I have no complaints about assembly, either. It went together well, and all the pilot holes were in the right place. The instructions are sparse, but useable, being nearly all pictures. Some words would make it a little easier to figure out. A little more sturdiness would be appreciated, and solid tubes instead of hollow tubes would make all the difference. That's why the 4 instead of 5.Despite their metallic silver color, this small desk's uprights are made of hollow plastic, meaning that it sways if you jolt it very much. But don't expect to hang onto this one through your career and pass it on to your kids.
