I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a small, simple, inexpensive desk, but don't expect the quality you'd find from a more expensive product.This product is very flimsy and even when assembled properly it wobbles. The design is nice, however the particle board is paper thin (punched the wooden dowels right through the desk top) and the legs are plastic. I did try to beef up the desk and am requesting a refund. There is no manufacturers information or even an 800 number should you need parts or help with assembly.light weight and easy to handle. Hard drive fits very well on lower shelf;also small enough to fit in my tiny apt. Shipping was incredibly fast, especially for the free super savings shipping. Arrived in 3 days. The picture is accurate, but the desk itself looks much smaller in person than it does on the picture. I was planning on using this just as a makeup desk until we moved, but it is really too small for that. May return it, or use it for something else. For the price though, it really isn't bad once you factor in the free shipping. I read the reviews before buying this and I knew it wasn't going to be a very good quality desk. But, I figured at this price as long as it serves it purpose for the time being I would deal with it. Putting it together I was very cautious since I read so many reviews of people screwing right through and damaging the desk. Well, half way through I realized they didn't give me all the pieces and the pieces that I had were not fitting together so it is very easy to break pieces. I can not even put this desk together without the missing piece. I never return things or write reviews but felt it was necessary to really worn buyers.This desk isn't made well at all. I bought it from somewhere else and realized immediatly after taking it from the box that it wouldn't do. Very poorly made, flimsy, part broke of just from general set up. Package came on time alright, but with no manual / instructions and no screws! It was just the boards and plastic in a cardboard box. Unfortunately I gave it to my niece for college and she didn't open it until she was ready, so we couldn't even return it for a refund. I am highly disappointed and upset I wasted my money. This is not a bad little computer table for the price. I did choose to secure the assembled unit to the floor because it was a bit wobbly. It was easy to assemble and is serving its purpose. The delivery was right on time. I bought this because I have a small apartment with bad interior design. I had a bigger one, and it didn't fit. This one fits almost anywhere. I love it. The only drawback I had, was the dowels went through the top of the desk. That might have been because I pushed to hard or the wood is too thin. Either way, it's only a problem if I am trying to have it be beautiful and never use.Why am I rating a flimsy desk 4 stars? Because for the price and free shipping with Amazon Prime, I can't really complain. Sure you can get a better desk, but not at this cost and not with the ease of Amazon. For that, I love this desk. We bought it for our second room to put an old PC there for the parents to use when they come to babysit, and for those purposes no complaints. I might be skeptical if I used it every day, as the quality is only so-so. The base where the keyboard should go is also pretty narrow, but this is a "Compact Computer Desk," just not as much space as I would comfortably like since I seem to sit in front of the computer for more time than I care to admit. Overall though it has served our purposes well and I'm satisfied with the speed which it was shipped (love the free 2 day Prime shipping) and of course the great price. Thanks Amazon! I used to assemble this kind of furniture at my job. I have never seen such junk! The dowels went right through the "wood" to the top of the unit. It won't stand up on the carpet. It weighs next to nothing. Although this is a cheap computer desk it is not worth the money. After it was put together it was extremely flimsy and small. It could barley fit my laptop. Also, it shipped damaged. I returned it immediately. You would be better off just buying a small cheap table or find something on craigslist. I would not recommend this item to anyone. I really like the way the desk looks and that it has a decent amount of storage space, but it is not sturdy. I can feel it move a bit as I type, nothing annoyingly so, but if I'm placing my laptop or a heavy book on it, it moves more than I wish it would. Also, it is sized for a computer (as in the fact that it's a computer desk) and not much else. I have a 17 inch laptop and I was hoping to get some written work done with my laptop open on the desk also, but it's a bit cramped to have space for both laptop and paper.
I'm giving it four stars because the instability is the only factor that I feel the manufacturer is responsible for, all the other stuff is just info I feel like sharing. I'm not sure if it's because I have it placed on carpet, but the moving is not from the base but from where the laptop is and such.
It's lightweight though so that was a plus for getting it up my stairs and is a good size for a small or medium room, but as I mentioned, is unfortunately not large enough for my bulky laptop + work space. This Furrino desk is PERFECT for any college student on a budget. The desk has 3 shelves and a place for a laptop or desktop computer. Additionally, it was easily assembled. While minimal, the instructions were good. Another nice thing, tools required - Screw Driver, Hammer, Mallet (not really necessary)The good points about this desk is that is a good size if you do not have alot of room for a desk.. It also has storage space for just what I need.. a few books, paper/ pens/ & a phone.. Its a nice color & attractive.. BUT... It came w/a few chips.. When we put it together the screws were too long. When assembling the desk is upside down.. after we were done & turned it rightside up there were 3 bumps in the particle board {fake wood} from the very long screws.If placing anything on top of the bumps you will cause an actual chip. Therefore we have 2 small chips that were there from shipping & 3 larger chips from the screws. We choose not too go thru thre trouble of returning it. It was cheap & too much trouble to undo , box up & bring to our closest ups place. Its 6 miles from my home. We figured if we got a s mall desk at a thrift store it would cost about the same & would probably not be perfect either.I wish we just went to a local store Instead of having it shipped. CHEAP is CHEAP afterall. We live in a small apartment and had been using the dining table as a computer table. Of course, it was always a mess, so I started looking for a cheap desk where to put my laptop. I'm pretty happy with the Furinno desk because my stuff (it's not all that much) fits very well and it was quite easy to assemble. It was almost fun to assemble it, actually. Anyway, the desk is stable but if you place a cup of coffee next to you, it will easily shake and spill if you happen to accidentally kick the desk. Overall, this is a good desk for the money. I was looking for a cheap little desk. Nothing extravagant and definitely nothing costly. I found this one and it was so nice I had to write a review. Don't expect anything wildly expensive looking. It does look exactly like the picture. It is perfect for someone who needs a simple desk with a little bit of shelving. It is great and what a buy!!! this desk is very cheap price, but also very cheap to hold imac and start shaking whenever you press the key at keyboard. The base is not very strong, they should make perfect desk which doesn't move when you put your hand on desk. The Furinno Desk is AMAZING! Easy to assemble, compact and you can fit a lot of stuff in it! The color was great and it is very stable and solid. I would really recommend this desk.
